took the kids to go see this yesterday, all 15 of them. yes it is summer day camp time of the year again. last year we went to see Cars.
the previews of Surfs Up did not impress me in any stretch, but the movie is very well done. its not pixar but its still worth the cash to take your little ones to go see.
on a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the best movie in the world, i put this at a solid 8.
in short it is a cartoon of a surfer biographies done much like the style of the 50s with enough adult stuff to keep you entertained while the kids are enjoying their "kids movie."
i have to say the best part of the movie is the chicken.
so if you have little ones, go watch it and enjoy. worth the 80min and 5 - 7$ ticket price.

I liked the CG movies when they came out once every two years or so, now they all just seem watered down.
