I had to have my appendix yanked out Friday night, and now I can't enjoy getting drunk. This Shit hurts like hell. I hope that none of you have to experience this.

What makes this worse, is that this was my first full weekend off since August '06, and I was going to spend it getting drunk and riding coasters.

That sucks, but on the plus side, I'm sitting on my **** smoking ciggies and drinking beer.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, I am. The Doc told me that he got it out just in time, "a hard sneeze and it would have burst". I also got the, "you should have come in sooner" talk.

This is not fun, but I am glad that Nobbs is enjoying some spirits. Cheers!

Wooden, and steel. I'm all out of AOL disks. I was looking forward to riding the Griffon again.

Sorry to hear that no fun for you this past weekend. But look at it this way, would you rather lose your appendix or your balls? Puts things in perspective, right?

lol

I could live without either, but what a sad life it would be without my balls.

Interesting side note, I worked a deal to pick up a slightly used M9 today. Less than 200 rounds have been fired through it. I'm looking forward to heading to the pistol range to test it once I pick it up.

I totally get the impression that your life sucks.

Get well soon. Or die. I don't really give a fUck.

I suppose that on some level it really does suck that you have some problem that was fixed and not really a concern of mine in any way shape or form. On the other hand, it sucks on many levels that you decided to share since I a) don't know who you are, b) don't care who you are and c) wouldn't really give a sh;t either way if you happened on an unfortunate incident somewhere between your chair and the sh;tter that shuffled you loose the mortal coil.

Thanks for sharing, though, just the same.

I have had a couple of horrible months, but I'm still pleased with life on the whole. I've sort of got my health, and still have my daughters, so I'm good.

Thanks for the well wishes, Tarv. How's life back in merry ol' England?

The appendix.....the biggest proof we were not intelligently designed.

Surprisingly sunny actually....

Kinda in tenderhooks as the wife has officially 5 days to go but with babies you can never tell, first one was 7 days late.

GFY you crazy gun-tooting constitutionalist american scum!! I hope your appenditis turns into a giant nuclear fart and suffocates your stupid God-fearing country back into the Eighteenth Century.

Or "Albania", as we like to call it in Europe.

Aripyanfar, that's how you say "Get well soon" in the Asylum. Smileys and tenderness are, like, totally OOT.

Nice one Red, but remember, if we get set back in time, we'll only get worse. We're far better today than we were 400 years ago. Those people knew how to think for themselves.

Tarv, congrats! Hopefully this one comes on your schedule, and not super late.

Get well soon Meta. I had my appendix out like 5 years ago. I felt really nauseated and had pain in the side. Went on WebMD and diagnosed myself with appendicitis. Hubby said I was insane. I woke up a few hours later in a lot more pain, so we went to the hospital. Next thing I know I'm being wheeled into surgery and hubby is holding my hand apologizing profusely about how sorry he was for not believing me. I still give him **** about that.

Sorry to hear it Meta. But on the plus side at least I'm not suffering alone right now. I have an eye infection that the doctor's think has spread to my bloodstream. I can barely walk more than twenty feet without getting light headed. Yet I'm still here at fucking work.

The best part is the opthmologist still has yet to give me the correct eyedrops. And I now had to go to my pcp to get antibiotics for the infection in the bloodstream since the opthmologist spent too much time giving me tests instead of hitting me with antibiotic eyedrops. This sucks balls, but on a side note, congrats on 10k Nobby.

Well it wouldn't be so bad if I knew what it was. This "opthomologist" has rattled off so many possible causes and not answered a single question. It was my pcp's office that called and said the blood test they did showed that the infection had spread. The opthomologist said it could be something anywhere from pink eye to HIV. So yeah, I'm not in the best of moods right now. My left eye is bright *** red and tearing up every five seconds, and the drug she did give me made me sick as hell. Smiley: cry
