I didn't think of drink coasters until everybody started mentioning it.

I have hand-turned pine coasters my father made as a house warming gift.

At work we now have a shortage of coasters since AOL stopped sending out all those free CDs. Damn you AOL! Smiley: motz

Guns are NOT the answer!

CDs are indeed a bit nippy through the air. I found that my Grandfather's collection of Bakelite 78rpm records (Enrico Caruso, Jussi Bjorling, Maria Callas etc.) flew true and disintegrated spectacularly. Grandad didn't see the funny side Smiley: frown

I'm on the drink coaster, wavelength.

Last time I rode a roller coaster, I realized why they tell folks with heart problems not to ride them. I only have HP, but when I got off the wooden water ride at the nearest 6 Flags, I decided to just stick to merry-go-rounds from now on.

I have a set of brass coasters, engraved with pictures of trains still in the original packaging, that was among my grandfather's things. Figure both train memorabilia and coaster collectors would actually be interested in them. I have others around the house, but don't use them. That will all change when my dad sells his house and I get some good furnisher.

Then I may have to nag Jonwin to always use a coaster, except when eating food or drink at the kitchen sink. Not my good coasters, but my mom found old coffee can lids made great coasters for my dad's office.

I just stick AOL coasters into the ground and whack em with my 3 wood. Makes nice sparkly glitter.

The stacks of cardboard foam drink coaster that alot of bars get with promos on them, make excellent frisbees for a crowded bar room coaster flinging free for all.
