I finally got the house on the market this week. I went with a better educated realtor who is aggressive in her marketing. Now all I need is a buyer. So, who wants to move to Mass? Smiley: laugh

Well, if it still hasn't sold next year, and you pick up the house, move it to the western part of the state, and drop the price by at least half...give me a call.

hehe, good luck!

no? We had slight seepage when it downpoured, but nothing a dehumidifier couldn't handle. And we've resealed that area.

Wait, haven't you been selling your house for like a year and a half, or am I confusing you with one of the other gals around here?

Punctuation is sometimes important

I tried selling last year but stopped around end of October as I didn't want to deal with the potential of selling and moving so close to my due date with the lil guy. It's just now becoming more feasible for me to be able to keep the house in pristine shape 24/7 in case of a showing. That, and the yard looks amazing during the warm months ha!

Ahhh, that's right. Good luck with that. Not sure how the market is back east, but it's pretty slow in Colorado. Most of the homes being bought are foreclosures from the "variable intrest mortgage" boom we had a few months ago. My buddy just bought a 305k house for 245k due to that.

But you're moving from the Boston area? Shouldn't that be a Containment Area for Relocated Red Sox?

Market here is awful as well, Kakar, but even losing out on a bigger profit than we could gain in the years ahead housewise, we can still make a better profit by selling now and moving to where we wish to. Renting a house down there for a year or two will save us a minimum of $800 a month, utility costs not included. We're looking at a potential savings of $1200 a month. Add in 1-2 years of renting and thats a nice little nest egg for a down payment after we get rid of literally all debt.
