I'm not sure whether these people are running some sort of make-up pyramid scheme or some sort of massive brainwashing operation (or some combination of both), but they scare me.

They're so optimistic, it's depressing.

I always have to look twice at a Mary kay car to make sure it isn't white.

Freaky, that shade of pink.

What's freaky is this whole "super-fun-awesome-happy-good!" attitude. I don't trust people that are this bubbly.

Those cars are proof that there is a Devil, and he is not without a sense of humor.

A friend of mine dated a Mary Kay Consultant for a couple years. She was always really eager to talk make up and make it a part of everything we did.

Having a BBQ? I am gonna hand out samples and chat with the girls!
Going to the bar? I am gonna put cards out and enter people to win stuff!
Dinner? I am gonna compliment the waitress on her make up then offer our version of it!

They are paid solely on what they sell (and what their underlings sell) so I guess you have to be eager.

It is what they teach you in "sales camp". You have to be really happy because people will be more likely to listen and agree with happy people..

There's also a company called Herbalife that's like Mary Kay. I can't stand those sales people. Every time I get cornered by one, I always say "I'll go to GNC or Vitamin World."

At least with telemarketers you can just hang up the phone. Being cornered by a salesperson is worth. You could punch them in the face, but that might lead to legal consequences. It'd feel good though!

That, and it'd give them a good way to show how well their makeup can cover up a shiner.

Perfect sales pitch for those pesky little domestic issues.
