FYI - She died in childbirth. Complications. The baby lived. Please don't bring it up again.

Getting to be tons of something...I just ate four slices of pizza.

I seem to be reversing the normal trend of *losing* weight just before swim season. hrmph.

"I used to skinny dip, now I chunky dunk" keeps running through my head, hahaha.

Also: the pms.

Please post just as soon as you hear from her. I'm kinda wishing I'd gotten some sort of contact info from her before she went into labor.

Probably, but it would be nice to hear from her even so.

I'd take this attitude as well, if she hadn't been so vocal and descriptive of her pregnancy and labor. All that told me that she wants us to be a part of this with her and to not hear from her in over a week is just damned unnerving.

Especially since she was having the baby at a birthing center and rather than a hospital. That makes me nervous for a first birth anyway, though I can completely understand the appeal.

Hopefully, Ambrya is just going through what I did where the first 2 weeks I did not leave my bed except to go to the bathroom or bathe. Otherwise, all I did was sleep, eat, and nurse the baby. I was beyond tired.

She'll suddenly sit up from her latest 5 minute nap between breastkilling and exclaim, "OMG! I forgot about the Asylum!!!". At which point her family will look at each other with worried faces.

Here, I'll drag her out for ya: Women who breastfeed in public are shameless whores.

Also, people who don't get their children vaccinated are ijuts.

Somewhere in Portland Ambrya's subconcious just exploded with rage, she threw her baby to the floor and rushed to the computer with the intent of refuting your evil words with a novel.

Well played, Flea, I only hope you're prepared to deal with the monster you've created.

This takes on a very entertaining tone (and somehow starts with "ARRRG") when I imagine your avatar saying it.

Well, my fifth day of labor--which involved yet another session of laboring at the birth center all day only to be sent home in the evening when things stalled--turned into an attempted homebirth which then turned into a middle-of-the-night trip to the hospital and a c-section, followed by a five-day ordeal to get them to let me take my baby home. Details will follow, but for now, the important stuff:

Tristan Scott Wooley
Born 5:22 PM Sunday May 27
8 lbs, 21 inches, completely healthy and beautiful
Pix to follow in the next day or two
