Well...9 donut holes is 13...but...that's not TOO bad! Just consider that a meal of it's own!

As it turns out, it was merely an appetizer for three slices of greek pizza!

Geez, I wish people would leave donuts around me. Here I am, trying to gain weight and I'm too lazy to eat!

No no, but near several fine and convenient restaurants that pull me in with their tractor beams!

I let myself have a snack-bag of Lay's chips with lime every week without killing myself over it. Those things are the YUM. It helps me say no to toher treats, b/c I know the Lay's will get nixed if I substitute.

Every.....week?

I'm on my second "breakfast brownie".

I heart PMS.

One day I'm Ms. Willpower and I do really good. The next day, I couldn't care less, and drown myself in chips, pizza and cookies.

I'm not gaining, but I'm not losing either. Meh.

I have a Clif bar here now for a snack, but I'm betting lunch will be a Wendy's burger with fries.

For those keeping up...my midmorning snack was a brownie.

Lunch is pizza. Dessert? Probably a brownie.

My new diet is proving interesting.

For complex reasons that I won't go into, I've had to have a serious rethink about what I eat. I've never been a junk-foodie, preferring fresh ingredients and home cooking, but now I'm restricted in what I can have, planning meals and shopping are much more complex. Farewell the days of impulse buys at the butchers or the grocers or the bakers.

That said, snacking is less complicated, and my house is now awash with fresh fruit. Doughnuts and cheetos hold no appeal when the alternative is a juicy apple or a bowl of apricots.

I do miss the spontaneity of seeing a nice rib of beef or a poussin and then thinking through what herbs or vegetables or stock would go with it Smiley: frown

I've had to change my ways too.

But I've succeeded very well, and have lost about 40 lbs since January. Sorry to hear some of you folks aren't doing as well. Sucks to be you I guess.

The other day, I was at this fast food place and their menu was all like "Buy this gyro for $3.49" and I was all like "OMGWTF?? I'm just here to buy raw corn and Omega-3 fish oil!" but the menu was all like "You want this gyro, *****!" so what could I do?

You can get raw corn at a fast food place? Man, Chicago is ******* weird. Smiley: oyvey You should have bought a dozen of them, you narrow-assed *****. A couple of pounds wouldn't kill you. Doesn't your wife feed you?!
