Day 2 of my long weekend, 2 days to go!!!!!!! So whats everyone up to? Any good memorial day recipies I should blatantly steal?

I went to one of them local artsy market things today. I ended up with a marble as big as my fist! It's shiny.

I'm working.

And perhaps it's not a marble Kao, but a crystal ball.

I bet you use it inappropriately.

I'm also "working," but seeing as all the jobs are due Monday night/Tuesday morning, I'm about ready to plug in my laptop and play some Rise of Legends.

I spent all afternoon in a mansion with 20+ 5, 6, 7 year olds with juice, cake, pizza and a pool. The worst part was watching them run up one set of stairs across the top level of the house and down another set and wondering which one would bite it first. I just knew it was going to be my kid, thank God they went outside!

All I wanted to do was play xbox 360 on a 90 inch screen in a movie theater room... that's the lifestyle man!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Tonight was my best friend's birthday. Needless to say, we celebrated the occasion right. I'm actuallly fairly surprised that I can type cohoerently, what with all the alcohol an such.

Plus, I met a girl who's not only hot, but is willing to argue phiolosphy with me. Uupdates when I call her later this week.

Went job hunting again, and then played video games with a couple of friends for the majority of the night. Nothing much here.

This weekend I'm working my *** off to get the house in shape to call a realtor. I'm hoping to call by next week, weekend next at the latest to get the ball rolling. Everything major that needed to be done has been, its just a matter of reorganizing everything so people can look into my cabinets and not shudder. Smiley: grin

Oh and Im taking full advantage of my deck furniture by sitting outside with a Heineken every chance I get.

Oooh Tare, we've been looking at townhouse rentals in Cary and I can not believe how cheap everything is! 3 BR 2bath, pool, playground, etc going for $800+ and they all take pets! Not to mention they have 3/6/9 mos leases.

Yay! Are you going to rent until you find another place to buy?

I think we will start out w/ renting for a year or two to build up a really good down payment and square away what little debt we have so that when we do buy we will be virtually debt free. Not to mention the fact that its a hell of a lot easier to sell and rent than to try and juggle selling and buying from so far away.

Well, I went to VA to have my dress fitted and get a fat check from my father to help pay for wedding expenses. It's nice, because it was just like I'd never left home for a weekend, but with the relief of knowing I didn't live there anymore, ie: I didn't take any drama to heart.

When I came back, Joph took me to Portillo's, and he and Jr. had straightened out the house. Smiley: grin

I grilled a piece of meat yesterday the size of a raccoon. It was full of meaty deliciousness.

Well if you had time to post over the weekend, it just wasn't as good as it could have been, so nyah!

Friday: Drove to Mass...I umm, don't remember the rest of the evening then.

Saturday: Drove around to a few different places, including Salem, the only town in Mass without a coffee shop every 10 feet. At one point, I told the boyfriend that I was going to lay down on the ground and cry until he found me coffee. DSD, you'd have been proud.

Sunday: Boston: Museum of Fine Arts, followed by Chinatown for no reason other than to remember how much better the rest of the world smells. We then rushed over to the Museum of Science, to arrive 5 minutes before it closed. The most important thing about this trip...I only used bathrooms in Museums, thereby raising my pretentious quota significantly.

Monday: Mostly lazy, sleeping in, grilling good foods and eating them, then we went to see 28 Weeks Later. I drove home this morning, straight to work! Smiley: cry
