I need help from folks to make sure that this works correctly...

Journal passwords have been totally removed.

All journals now have a friends permission list instead, so you can control exactly who sees it.

This is located at jperms.html on whichever skin you use.

It might take a bit for them to show up on the non-www skin as I copy it over and it recaches.

(also, I fixed a longstanding bug with the Private journal setting not working correctly while I was at it)

Hey you with the messages!

Didn't I just see this in feedback?

SPAMMER!

That or you are just trying to inflate your post count so you can get a snazzy 10k title... or something.

I was just able to access your journal.

But then, I hacked the table and added myself to your perms list, so...

You're such an tool. Smiley: lol

You have to add yourself to your own journal access list. I'm not friends with myself, so I can't see my own journal. Can someone please tell me what peopel are saying about me in there? Smiley: frown

Changing the name for it would require a SQL change on users table, which is a great way to break the site for 2-4 hours...

I could mess with the field display for that one field though, I guess.

Protip: You can pass a different variable for the field value rather than the display!

<option value='Yes'>Danalog wants to hump Magi like a rabbit</option>
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

There are some things that you are just better off not knowing.

By the way Dana, thanks for doing this. The journal password system has bugged the hell out of me forever. This is FAR better.

No, and neither do you. In 1992, I was 13.

I still love Nirvana.
