I would have banned Varus ages ago.
Not that anything he said ever really bothered me, my skin is a little too thick for that. No, I found myself more annoyed at the fact that people would actually waste the time of day responding to him.
You'd have to be a terribly thick cnut to do that, unless your Jophiel and just doing it to pad your post count.

It's not because a user has premium. It's because a premium user is more likely to have a higher post count of useful information. Different steps are taken when this is the case. We wouldn't be Jophiel if he started posting up a racial slurring storm. We'd just nuke the posts, set Joph's account to mute and that would be that.

I don't get why he was banned and in many ways, what he said was not much worse than what a white Carlos Mencia would say. And it certainly was the same level of humour.
The only way I can justify the ban, is that it was for his own sanity. It's quite clear that varrus is in deep denial about a few things, such as his racist views, his hatred, his sexuality, his self-sense of worth, and, most of all, reality in general. And since a few truth were being hammered to him on a daily basis, I guess the admins thought it was best to protect him from himself.
