I use to live close enough to Memorial Statium to walk to the games. My kids would sell lemonade to fans on the way to the games. By May we would realize that once again we didn't have the closer who could keep what small lead we might get and go cry in our Natty Bo's.
Now I never go to the games, but make sure that I stay away from the Inner Harbor, when they are playing home games at Camden Yards. Jonwin is sure to tell me how some Yankee or Boston Fan, was on the tour he gave. As nice as Cameden Yards is, I rather listen to games on the radio. Seats are at the wrong angle and food and tickets now are too exspensive and games tend to sell out quickly.
Still coming down here to see the Red Soxs is more affordable for most Boston Fans, then see their home games. So come on down and Check out the Constellation, while your at it. Jonwin gives a great trolly tour of the city on Mondays too.
I wasn't around for the memorial stadium days, I've heard good things though. Fred Mantra is an awesome announcer. Listening on WBAL is always a good thing. That's smart about the inner habor. It's never a good sign for a city when a crack head comes up to you in broad daylight and asks if you want to buy a kid.
God Bless O' Mally.
Camden Yards is awesome. Bough's BBQ (Excuse the spelling), Utah street, the warehouse, its a neat place. All you need to do is buy some cheap $5 box tickets and then meander on down around the 4th or 5th inning.
I don't know for sure, but supposedly you need to sell your soul or something to get tickets down in Boston nowadays. Iunno, just word of mouth.
Oh yea, who's Jonwin?
