How's the medical situtation going? I remember it was touch-and-go for a while with her blood counts.

Aww, so cute! Hannah turned 2 last month. I hope yours is somewhat less "terrible" hahahaha.

Still kind of a pain in the ***. They're hovering around 40,000-50,000 (150,000 is normal) so we have to have her blood tested every 2 weeks to keep an eye on it. She's a pro at that now, so it's not quite so trying but it's still tough on me Smiley: smile At least we haven't had any emergency drives to Omaha to have transfusions or anything like that.

We bought her a toddler bed yesterday and she slept in it last night. I thought she would be playing in the room when I woke up but she was sitting in bed with her stuffed animals just hanging out. I wonder how long it will take her to get out of bed and play with her toys when she gets up.

Have you tried grounding her?

I beat her every time the results are low, but all that does is make more bruises Smiley: confused

They seem to be creeping up but it's slow, and if she even has the slightest runny nose when we take her in it will drop them by a good 10,000 points or so.

Have you tried teaching her to feast upon the blood of other children?

I need to do this for Hannah soon, but I needed to finish baby-proofing her room first. I guess I'll have to take out her changing table, since she'll climb it, and her dresser, since she'll climb it, and secure her closet door shut, and figure out how to have a light in there with no surfaces...

I guess I just need to figure out how to make her room more like an empty padded cell...

With all of the kids biting her at daycare you'd think they were teaching it at school. She's been bitten 4 times so far.

I was like that too at first but I think the only thing we're going too replace is the dresser. The one we have currently will tip over in a light breeze, so we've asked the grandparents to get her one for her birthday. I'm going to anchor it and the changing table to the wall with a strap but hopefully in such a way as to hide it.

Congrats {insert name query here}!

Glad she's on the mend, (and that she clearly gets her looks from her mother)

Welcome to the club Wint! The best of luck to you in the coming year, you'll need it. My perfect angel wasn't going to be one of those "terrible twos", but somewhere along the way it happened anyway. It's like she was just a sleeper cylon the whole time.

I thought it would be over when she turns three, but Thumby informs me that just means a transition into Tantrum Threes. Gah.

I hope she has a fun-filled birthday!!!
