Former Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Baluchislam threatened the US over plans for nuclear confrontation....
Quote:

"It's been conclusively proven the US is not going to be talked out of its nuclear programme. So to stop them from doing it, we have to massively increase the pressure.

"If we can't get enough other countries to come along with us to do that, then we've got to go with regime change by bolstering opposition groups and the like, because that's the circumstance most likely for the US government to decide that it's safer not to pursue nuclear war than to continue to do so. And if all else fails, if the choice is between a nuclear war capable US and the use of force, then I think we need to look at the use of force."
He said.

He continued...

Quote:
"If the choice is them continuing [towards a nuclear bomb] or the use of force, I think you're at a Hitler marching into the Rhineland point. If you don't stop it then, the future is in his hands, not in your hands, just as the future decisions on their nuclear programme would be in the US's hands, not ours."

He also said Tony Blair was a bit of a "spineless cnut".

I really don't know how these so-called people of power and influence (especially as how they follow a religion that is 'supposedly' all about peace and tolerance, are allowed to open their mouths (with the backing of their gubnments) on the world stage.

Jebus Christ on a bike! You would never catch a VIP from the 'west' behaving in such a way as to be seen as condoning open warfare and regime change on a foreign country!

Savages!!

Oh yeah, the LINK.

Hey, that's what we need. More foreign war. Maybe we can get oil over $150 if we scare the market enough.

Also I think we should continue with the diplomacy since that seems to have worked so well with Iran and North Korea.

Yeah, I don't think *we're* going to give up our nucular ambitions anytime soon.

Well it's obviously a political statement, but he does have a point. Idiots can be right sometimes too.

That is exactly what the US says about other countries. Though they tend to be a little more tactful (read: subtle) about it.
