In 1962, the cost of a new house was $18,200 and a new car cost £250. Gas was $0.31 a gallon.

I am a old cUnt.

And candy cost $0.05 then, and it costs $0.99 now.

So it's not like too much has changed (other than that cars have gotten more expensive than they should have, based on the whole "relative to a candy bar" thing).

Anyway... happy birthday, and get out of the house more. (But don't forget to wear your Smiley: tinfoilhat so They don't pick up your brainwaves.)

Die in a fire, or DF. Either would be acceptable.

Were you in the states this weekend? I was sitting next to a lady yestereve, who looked a bit like DF, and she was with a gentleman from the UK. We were dining in Williamsburg, at Chowning's Tavern.

I went back and looked again, and the two looked similar, but this woman was more Helen Hunt, and less DF, than DF.

It still would have been interesting to say that I met people from =4 at dinner. Doubly so while the queen was in town.
