I was going to be an Drama Queen and magnificently retire this account at 9,999 posts, but 9.927 has always been my lucky number!

I'm not going away, but the arrogant ******* that you know as 'Nobby' will return in a few hours with a new coat of paint, fresh oil & tires and a retuned engine. He may be contrite and easy-going, he may be a serene and erudite calmer of stormy seas, or he may be an angsty old man, but he'll probably still be an funting cUnt.

Coincidentally, this coincides with me catching up with yanari in the 'growing old' competition, and while I've decided not to join the '10K post club' (custom titles are for other people), I'm joining the "45 and older" society in 2 hours time.

The new me will emerge on my 45th Birthday, and while he has made a handful of posts already, I'm hoping he'll stay above default for a while. A CJ for old times sake wouldn't hurt.

Nobby has enjoyed being here, and has fond memories of flame-wars & insider jokes, and been proud to be almost accepted as a peripheral member of 'We'.

Nobby needed to think long and hard about his final words on Forum=4. In the end it was a no-brainer.

That was when he told DF he loved her. This is the running away afterwards part.

Before what? You start combining his posts from his new account back over to this one? Smiley: laugh

(If you do that, "10K In Absentia" would make a wonderful title.)

Happy B-day Nobby.

Curiosity has me as well. After a few years around here now, I'm most certainly curious about his title.

Starting from scratch baby.

I just didn't wanna join the 10K club.

If I go sub-def then it's my time to bow out.

Yeah, we still can't get rid of shadowrelm...so the likelyhood of you ever getting below the filter is nil...unless Dana actually sets your score there...

Looking possible.

This might be an ignoble goodgye, but if it is... I was right.
