If we picked a weekend where the flights aren't at a premium, (avoiding high-days and holidays) and enough folks commit, I can rent a house in London for a long weekend and avoid the ridiculous hotel prices.
Just a thought.
Itinerary could be cultural (Shakespeare at The Globe and a Stratford visit), MMO oriented (A Tolkien Trail), or iconic brit-pop places (Abbey Road etc.)
18 months of saving should be OK for some of you - Post if interested.
I'm up for the Tolkien trail and The Globe (I've been to Stratford and it's great). I think the primary interest to me is enjoying a variety of fantastic, quaint pubs. If I go, I'd probably plan to be there a week (whether staying at a hotel or not). A weekend will be tough enough to survive the jet-lag. That said, I can make the most of the rest of my week there traveling the country and maybe pop up to Scotland (haven't been there yet).

As for SF in June, I won't have my own vehicle and I'll be sharing a room, but this will not stop me from heading out in the evenings and getting hammered, only to return to the hotel room my client is paying for and crawling into bed with her.
San Francisco is very easy to get around without a car, but I'll be glad to offer to taxi you about. Except for the night of drinking though; I'll take the subway downtown to meet up so I can get brilliantly drunk.
Heck, I'll give you a tour of the freaky deaky sex clubs and what not - I won't partake, but I'll point them out to ya!
