This is how my day is going:

"ALERT:
UMaine police have received a bomb threat. Police and safety officials do not believe this threat to be credible, so UMaine will remain open and business will continue as usual. We’re providing this information so that members of the UMaine community can make decisions with which they feel comfortable. Those who wish to gather in a place that has been assured as being safe may proceed to Memorial Union, which will be available shortly. Faculty members should use their best judgment as to whether to continue with classes. Employees who feel compelled to leave campus for the day should notify their supervisor, and use accrued leave time or authorized leave without pay. The Washington Post and other news sources report today that similar threats at other educational institutions have occurred in at least 10 states."

I'm glad that college students are ignorant and petty enough to take advantage of the currently high tensions on college campuses. It's not as though there's any benefit to them, other than winning the "double dog dare" they probably had going.

*sigh*

This is starting to make me think twice about attending grad school. Maybe UPheonix online is a idea.

If that said "with pay" you'd be thinking "oh those mischievous little scamps, bless their hearts."

:)

I'd be taking my *** home, no pay. I can figure out how to earn an extra few bucks, but I haven't mastered coming back from the dead yet.

Meh, the car is like, way over there.

This has got to be the 50th bomb threat at a place where I work or go to school. No bombs yet.

Famous last words?

You're tempting fate!!!! You know what would help? If you brought a glock to work. No one calls in bomb threats when the milfs are packing heat.

Who knows, until it happens. I always think of the 9/11 folks that worked on the top floors that went back to their desks after the towers were hit and the PA system said they should.

Anyhoo, you can't be ticked while watching this. Guaranteed happy!

Now you're being silly. What you really need are the deadly weapons used by Barbarella, Queen of the Galaxy. I can send them right over to you accompanied by a friendly "boing" noise.

Ok, but only if I can borrow some of your furs. My clothes keep mysteriously getting torn apart.

You can't get me to go home by linking things I can't watch at work. I'm not *that* easy!

Dude, you're missing out. Youtube is one of the few sites that this piece of crap IT Dept DOESN'T block, and it's my at-work radio/tv/novela hookup. I heart it.

Didn't you watch the otters holding hands? This is like that, but with sound.

It's the sound that's the problem, I don't have my own office at this job..I'm working in a cubicle maze.

Ha ha, I must have a really informal office. People just assume I'm listening to the radio. One of my Interpreters is watching Mad TV's "Clops" shorts in the next room during his break.

So whats the current penalty for calling in bomb threats? Methinks this may become more of an issue closer to exam time...

Well, when you work in a bomb factory, what can you really expect? Mostly I'm just disappointed that folks are so unoriginal.
