True, but the reason I used that exemple was because it was the simplest and most basic I could find which involved the same concept with regards to the kinds of "double-standards" in question. I agree completely that saying this, with the intention of shocking and amusing, will lead the consequences you describe.
This fact, however true, does not change the fact that those kinds of double-standards are used everyday by everyone, and everyone thinks its normal. The double standards are only pointed out when white people aren't allowed to call black people @#%^s.
Even in the Imus case, though, what you say happens. All the people defending him are saying "well black people say it in rap songs all the time". It's the same as someone justifying calling my sister a bit
Ch because I said it. Both are wrong, but one still doesn't justify the other.
