Morale among NHS doctors has sunk to a new low, according to research published today.

The situation is so bad that more than two-thirds of doctors would no longer recommend their profession to friends or family members.

Just two per cent of respondents told Hospital Doctor magazine that their morale was 'excellent', with 54 per cent describing their morale as 'poor' or 'terrible'.

Almost three quarters of the 1,400 doctors quizzed by the magazine added that their spirits had worsened during the last year, when they were called "Cnuts" by NHS administrators.

IT was bound to happen eventually.

I think the real cause of low moral is Nobby's insistence on doing Jethro Tull flute solos and the christmas staff party.

Well it's disappointing that he refuses to perform as Eric Clapton. It's predictable, yes, but it's what the masses want!

Edit: Predicatable isn't a word, stupid.

Two things:

He performed as EC for me, and if he didn't insist on calling all NHS dr's cnuts, maybe they would be happier!

Well duh, that's what results from socialist national health care. Just wait til the massive aging population has to deal with the health care system in 10-20 years. So how many lawyers versus doctors get degrees yearly? What's the average salary of a doctor versus a lawyer? Of course Nobby and all the other leftist socialists are to blame. They're violent dumb a$$ faqs.

Like most medics, British Drs are a bunch of whining bastages.

In April '06, our Family Doctors (GPs) renegotiated their contract. Before then they had 24/7 responsibility for their registered list of patients (about 2,000 per GP).

Under the new contract they now work 8am-6pm 5 days a week and have had a pay rise of 25%. On average they earn over £105K ($210K) a year.

And the reason they're grumpy?

"We are no longer guaranteed a job for life"

Who the fUck has had that expectation since the 1960s? FFS.
