Yeah we haven't past 50 in almost two weeks. I really want to start jogging and biking but its too damn cold. When its sunny its ok cause that adds a little warmth but that quickly drops off after sunset.

Last week I was playing some Disc Golf in 70 degree weather, today it's sh*ttin puppies out of the sky.

Iowa sucks.

It's going to warm up to 50 degrees F here on Friday. I'm looking forward to a nice, warm motorcycle trip that day!

It took me 3 hours to get to work today, and everytime I'm outside it's like someone's pelting me with wet snowballs.

At least it's still good soup-and-cuddle weather.

I can only assume that you take I-55 in to the city, which must have been absolutely HORRID.

I take I-88 west, and even though it's not that congested, I still saw at least 5 cars stopped on the shoulder, or in the ditch on the side of the road. Smiley: frown

It was. It's been better on days with much less snow. It's like folks just lost their cotton-pickin' minds.

excerpts from weather.coms winter watch for my area:

SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD NORTHERN MASSACHUSETTS AND SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE LATE TONIGHT OR EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THURSDAY MORNING WHILE POTENTIALLY MIXING WITH SOME SLEET. THE SNOW COULD LOCALLY COME DOWN AT 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR FOR A FEW HOURS DURING THE MORNING...MAKING FOR A SLIPPERY MORNING RUSH HOUR WITH LOW VISIBILITIES. AT THIS TIME...IT LOOKS AS THOUGH 6 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET IS STILL POSSIBLE BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION BECOMES LIGHT AND TRANSITIONS OVER TO MORE OF A RAIN... SNOW...AND SLEET MIX DURING THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

I'm a big fan of winter, but even I get burned out eventually. Especially when I pay $200 for a motorcycle training class, and it ends up getting cancelled due to the snow we got this weekend. Then Monday is all bright and shiney at 55 degrees. Hopefully it holds up, my class got rescheduled for this Saturday and the Saturday next. If the weather is crappy again I won't be able to finish it till May. And I had originally planned to have the class done and a bike in the garage by the end of next week.

Why are you taking a class? It's funner to learn by trial and error. Last week a watched someone wipe out on their street bike taking an easy turn and they were only going about 10-15 mph. Smiley: lol

Let me guess, it was a new bike too? One gal in my class, this early 40's blonde looker, said her husband already has a brand new Harley picked out for her. Apparently as soon as she passes and they go get her license, they are going down to the dealership to pick it up. I shudder to think what will happen to it by the end of the summer.

We seem to have an early season hurricane up here. 38 degrees, torrential downpours and vicious wind. Traffic lights and street signs are twisting in the wind and the rain is coming down sideways.

Is it sad that I would happily welcome a torential downpour at this point if it meant no more snow?
