I had my first real experience with getting the chills when sick last night. I've had a couple experiences where I felt cold, but this took the cake. After eating dinner last night I started to feel queasy, and in an about 2 hours it turned into a full fledged bad night. I had the normal running and praying to the pocelain goddess but I also got the chills. I mean, full fledged, I couldnt stop my teeth from clicking together, I was shivering nonstop for about 3 hours. Even drowning in my warmest robe, my big quilt that makes you sweat when its 20 degrees out and two other blankets on top of that, I still felt like I was naked outside in the middle of a snow storm. I
At one point, I made a hot cup of tea, hoping to both settle my stomach and to try and get warm internally. Even knowing it was almost boiling hot, I took a sip, and even that didnt feel hot enough for me. I know it was stupid, but I drank it down anyways, not waiting for it to cool. I was beyond thirsty, and freezing.
The worst has passed, but Im still feeling like I got hit by a train. I had clenched my body up so hard last night trying to keep warm that all my muscles are killing. And I feel bad for my son, who is bored to tears since I dont have the energy to really play with him, but at the same time, why do kids push just the right buttons when you're sick?
