Washington - US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama raised 25 million dollars in the first three months of 2007, his campaign announced Wednesday, putting the lesser-known Illinois senator only one million dollars behind presumed frontrunner Hillary Clinton at this early stage in the race.

Obama time!

This really is a fairly big deal. That's a lot of cabbage. Even discounting it to $20 million after he buys rims, he'll still have enough to mount a real challenge.

Edwards came in at $14mil, but that was pre cancer booby money. There might be an actual primary campaign in a year.

In Republican news, Mitt came in ahead of Rudy & John in donations but lags them both considerably in polls. Go figure.

Evangelicals are told not to respond to polls.

No joke.

Also, Mormons have giant vaults under the tabernacle in SLC filled with gold. They're right next to the plates of Nephi.

Erroneous! Erroneous! Barak Obama is prince among men, and full of chocolaty liberal goodness. We need to nominate him and have him run a noble flawed campaign, and just barely lose so we can complain about how stupid the average voter is.

You're new to Democratic primary politics, aren't you?

I am filled with pride every time you stamp your family's signet lobster claw into the wax seal of the Maine ballot.

Strange you'd think they'd have mentioned that in the article I linked somewhere.

He may gain a little on Rudy soon. http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/blogs/politicalticker/

It's not new news or anything, but certainly a sore point.

Heh... one story below that...
Quote:
President Bush has named Sam Fox the U.S. ambassador to Belgium, using a recess appointment to bypass the Senate a week after Democratic opposition forced him to withdraw the nomination, the White House announced Wednesday.
That George Bush is quite the uniter! Smiley: laugh

Edit: I see Nexa has started a new thread on it

In other news, I hear he's very clean. Loose lips Joe would probably even go in to a 7-11 if Obama worked there.
