Ok, so I'm pretty happy with my weight, but I'm super out of shape and since the weather is getting better...I have no excuse not to get out walking/running/etc. I also am reallyreallyreallyreally going to quit smoking. Man, I suck at quitting smoking.

I'm proposing a revival of the Asylum group weight loss/getting in shape/goal accomplishing effort. If there are others who want in, I'll get premium, start a journal for it, and we can all post achievements/set backs/***** fests in there.

Any interest?

I've actually been doing OK amazingly enough, I've dropped from 210 to 190 pounds in the last year. Go me!

My goal is 170 though so I have a ways to go.

I've lost about 15 pounds since we got together in Boston, so I'm ok that way, I just need to tone up a bit and not be out of breath walking across campus (much to do with the smoking though too, I'm sure).

I would be in the "quitting smoking" thing. I suck at it, and could use some peer pressure.

As for the shape, I need to gain weight. 68kgs for 1,80 is a bit skinny.

So, anyone got some extra weight they wanna trade for a few packs of ****?

I am also hoping to drop a few pounds by summer. The weather though here has been shiat. I have started to eat healthier and am going to start playing beach volleyball once a week and maybe soccer. I do not mind the exercise but its the goddamn beer that slows me down.

Hopefully I'll start just boozing on the weekends and nix the whole two beers a day thing that I have grown accustomed to Smiley: crymore

I hope to drop 10 pounds by May. Wish me luck, cause I'm gonna need it.

I'm not in horrible shape, it's mainly the jumbly tumbly that I'm wanting to get rid of. I've had to carry tons of big stuff around over the last few week to help my father in law move most of the stuff out of his house, and I did pretty good on that. Plus I have Wii Sports to keep me active!

I was thinking the journal thing would help with support/peer pressure, haha. I'd accept donated premium to do it, since it's a public service! :D

Worth a shot, haha.

I'm trying to lose weight and quit smoking at this point.

Since I moved out on my own last May I've gone from 250lbs to 215. My goal is 160 so I have a long way to go, but I'm doing well so far.

Quitting smoking is the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm on day 2 of nothing but nicotine gum...I really really really really really really really really really want a ******* smoke. Even a weak insanely light one like a camel light or something. Anything. The gum doesn't work.

I'm getting a membership to a local gym to get in shape next month. I'd do it this month, but all my money this month is going to a weekend getaway I'm taking my girlfriend on for our 1 year anniversary.

I wouldn't mind a group effort for getting in shape, even if it is with people on the interwebs.

How "robust" were you to go from 250 to try and hit 160? I'm 250 and when hitting the gym full time, I can only get as low as 236, with maybe an 8% body fat. If you were 250, could be 160 and are down to 215, then you've done a fantastic job of turning yourself around. Keep up the good work Drift.

I honestly have no idea what "robust" means(I never paid attention in English class). I probably would have lost a lot less weight had I stayed at home instead of moving out. I lost a lot of weight just from walking around the city for hours at a time(from like 11pm to 6 or 7 am) with my best friend and eating a lot less(I couldn't afford to eat like I did at home).

I honestly doubt that I can hit 160, I'll probably end up stopping around 180. Either way though, it's a good thing.

I've been taking these "male enhancement" pills, to give me that extra edge, that spring in my step, the respect I deserve and a happy little Miss at home. I've been marking my progress on the wall with a pencil. I'd be happy to keep you up to date in your journal.

I'll never quit smoking; you can't peer-pressure me.

Count me in!

I've dropped about 20 pounds so far since joining the local YMCA 2 months ago and partaking in spinning/cycling classes 3 days a week (45 - 50 minutes). On the off days, I try to hit the gym for the elliptical machine on non-spinning days. I'm also knocking out 3 sets of 100 stomach crunches, 3 sets of 20 leg lifts, and 3 sets of 20 push ups each morning - I know, it's a far cry from my military days when I could do 3 sets of 100 push ups; maybe one day I'll get back to that.

I'm currently 260 and my target goal is 185 - 190. Now that I'm in a steady routine and have minimal impact to bones and such, I'm confident that I'll hit my goal...someday...

Count me in! I've got about 10 pounds to go to get back to the weight I was when I first graduated from college.

Edit: Well, since everyone's giving their current status and end goals, here's mine:

At about 128. Want to get between 110-118.

To be fair, I used that word completely out of its definition, but was trying to use a word that could be construed to mean fat, without actually using a word that means fat. Regardless, good job on dropping 35lbs and good luck on dropping another 35-55.

Count me in. I was 222 this morning. Short-term goal is under 210, but long-term I think 190ish would be good.

I don't recall how much I weighed for AllaBoston, but I know I've lost quite a bit since then. I'm a little bent because I tossed ~5 lbs back on, but then again I don't really work out much so I guess I shouldn't complain too loudly. I'd be more than happy to post in a journal, although I have the sneaking suspicion that it would be about as interesting as my regular posts. That and I would totally rip on people like Driftwood.

I won't quit smoking until I'm ready. It's usually the first thing I do after a workout as soon as I catch my breath. Sometimes I would even smoke while working out. I know I want to quit eventually, but I also know that I can't quit until I decide I want to...if that makes any sense.
