Or roll a Priest. Levitate = win also.

I'm also scared of heights, but I rolled a priest.

Someone explain the fear of heights to me. It's not like you are going to fall off the building unless you are really clumsy.
Mine has more to do with the almost irresistible urge to jump, and I'm pretty sure it would kill me. That vertigo is a *****.

That's my problem too. Even at such modest heights as the fourth floor of the mall, all I can think of is vaulting over the edge and if I could catch hold of one of the bannisters or flags and slow myself down.

In reference to the OP, that bridge looks like the new one in Boston. Same design? And if so is there (going to be) an obs deck on that one? As a child I've done the forehead-to-glass thing from atop the Empire State Building and one of the Twin Towers.

I have this frustrating physiological "fear" of heights. It's like the blood leaves my feet, even if I'm just watching something on TV that's high. I say it's frustrating because I have no conscious fear of heights (or anything really). In the past I would give public addresses and my arms would sometimes shake pretty badly (gesturing) and again, while being mentally as calm as ever. Few things wierder than a somatic response without an emotion to trigger it. Imagine if you just started crying without feeling at all sad/happy.

Wow, what an unexpected response.

I think that if I were really afraid, I would just stay away from those situations, but I don't. I just do them anyway and find myself agitated by those particular somatic responses. Well, at first I was agitated, now I can appreciate how it makes me feel alive, even if it is wierd as hell.

From that distance would a telescope or binoculars be best for viewing possible "excursions" from the depths of the canyon?

No, see, because I'd die. I guess that's *a* cure, but not really one I'm interested in.
