Speaking of old men who have inspired and horrified us all: Keith Richards snorted his father's ashes.

He should have saved his cocaine money (and his father) and one day had his dad converted into a Life Gem!

When asked how he felt when his dad died, Keith replied: "It was a bit of a blow..."

Ba-dam!

Ok, it took me a night's sleep to come up with it, but that's the beauty of forums.

Oh, he's never been a contender for any beauty contest, but I didn't think it was possible to look worse than I remembered.

Now he says he was just kidding.

I suppose the point is, how were we supposed to guess that? I mean, we are talking about a man who had to have a complete blood transfusion in order to get straight enough to enter another country legally.

That's screwed up.

Coudn't he just get a Phlacerty of Soul-Stealing and conjured up a similacrum instead? Prolly been a tad less creepy.

It's sad, and telling, that I'm more disappointed in him for making this up than I was when I thought he'd snorted his father in some sort of spiritual speed-ball. What do I have to look forward to when my old man kicks it, now?

And unfortunately, that's not true either. It's just a myth.

Still, you can't blame him for trying. I can't think of anyone that would still give a **** about what these old age pensioners are up to now. Their music hit its peak during the early 70s, and everything since then has been recycled crap for babyboomers that use viagra and botox to pretend they're not ageing.

I suspect he underwent dialysis, although how effective that would be I have no idea. Still, it's a similar enough procedure to spark those persistent rumors.

I picture it more along the lines of an oil change, though.

According to this and a couple of other things I'd read before, it's pretty much what you'd guessed.

In my head I've nicknamed you "smartira".

It's a bit creepy, I know...

And now it appears Disney put pressure on Richards to pass off his statement as a joke.

I know, right? Apparently he's under contract to play Johnny Depp's father in some film.

Holy ****, that's a lot of disbelief to suspend. Maybe Johnny has "get in car wreck and go through the windshield with my face" in his prep for this movie though, because he's just that dedicated to his craft.
