Given these choices....Follow

Who would you vote for President? Obviously all of these people would not be on the ballot at the same time, but that is neither here nor there.

John McCain
Rudolph Guilliani
Hilary Clinton
Barack Obama
Other

My choice is McCain because imo he has integrity and I like where he stands on alot of issues. Guilliani wouldn't be bad either, he turned NYC from a cesspool to a cesspool with an extremely low crime rate.

Sooo, you're really saying the "real" crime rate didn't go down while he was mayor of NYC?

Oh, wait RECORDED crime rate. I guess we can't trust records and statistics now. Gotcha.

In all sincerity, it's way too early for me to say. I haven't even heard same-party debate/Q&A for the primaries yet.

Speaking of, this trend for every single state to push their primary up to Jan/Feb of '08 is pissing me off. I suppose that, at this point, it's fairly moot anyway since ten or so states have jumped on the bandwagon in the past few months. Illinois being the latest culprit. Both parties are fielding multiple candidates that deserve real review during the primaries and instead we're just grabbing a horse and rushing it to the gate in preperation for November.

Guiliani's tendency to schtup people other than his wife, then dump his wife and takeup with his schtuppette will work against him. He and his jackbooted thugs also trampled all over people's civil rights during his tenure as mayor. In addition there was a dramatic drop in violent crime nation wide during his mayoral stint, attributed mainly to changes in demographics.

Really the only thing he did worthy of high praise was his calm leadership on 9/11. He was a complete tool before and has been a complete tool since.

Based on what little I've seen so far, I'd go with Barack Obama, but I'm nowhere near sold on him.

mccain backed the president. no way. he can take all the baggage that came with that decision out the door with this addministraition. by by.

hillery voted for it too. who wants a president who can be duped into doing something like STARTING A WAR. by by. dont let the door hit you on the way out.

guilliani? what has he ever done? his sole claim to fame is by hapenstance being the mayor of a city that was atacked. he did nothing. all he did was stand back and say yes sir, no sir, and play pr to the press. not to mention dumping his wife for his lover during the whole mess. a nobody. his 15 minutes are long over.

obama is without a doubt the most inspiring speaker i have herd in the political forum in the last 6 years. no baggage either. a minority to boot. so far, he is the only one worth looking at. but speaking and running a country are two differant things. he has done nothing to indicate he can do the job other than speak. still, the only one of your selections, while not the right choice, atleast is not certainly the wrong choice like the other 3.

joe biden. i really think he will win the democratic nomination. if he can talk obama into a vp slot, it will be a landslide victory for the dems.

the repubs have no one with any real credability. the best they have is mccain, a 2 time looser for the pres slot. i think out of all the repubs, he can generate the most votes because of his stand on torture and other issues associated with the war. but he would be hard pressed to beat any of the dems running, even hilery becuause of this addministraition and al the baggage it is going to leave with the republican party. he would certainly beat the pants off guilliani, whose only claim to fame was something not of his making and beyond his controll.

my predictions so far....

repubs, mccain for p, guilliani for vp.
dems, biden for pres, obama for vp, mabe hilery for vp.

results, a shut out, hands down victory for the dems. people are always sick of politicians lies, but they get right down indignant when you start killing people, especially if there is 1. no justification for it in the first place,. and 2. no solution for an end in sight.

by by. dont let the door hit you on the way out. wont be because americans are all siding with the dems, it will be because they are sick to death of the stupidity of this war the republicans MANUFACTURED.

I thought that too. Then the majority of Americans gave him a 2nd term.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

That was the basis of Hari Seldon's discipline of psychohistory. I think that theory is too broad, in my opinion; by and large most people are just outright dumb in their own rights.

Nothing like a horribly biased argument. You do realize that almost every democrat voted to go to war as well?

And you also lose alot of credibility since you believe that all guilliani has done was "happen" to be mayor during 9/11.

Regardless of whether or not Giuliani has done "anything" beyond 9/11, it's a question of whether or not he's done anything to show that he'd be a good president. Even the Republicans I've heard speak on the subject suggest that his skills might make him a viable Director of Homeland Security* or somesuch but they don't do anyhting to make him presidental.

*I know others might quail at the idea of Giuliani leading Homeland Security given the civil rights issues within his own stints in New York, the point being that they don't see "He was great after 9/11!" as a reason to elect him president.

No one voted to go to war in Iraq.

This is a good point, he also treated all of the women in his life like ****, trampled civil liberties to achieve the exact lowering crime the rest of the nation did, and also he said the following:

"We only see the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don't see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it."

Charming.

Not to mention he's eyetallian. We all know eyetallian's can't be president.

He'd be a viable war bonds salesman maybe. Barring that maybe a mid level federal prosecutor.
