Don't get a TT. Unless you live a secret life as a hairdresser. If you want the sporty look with class get a Jaguar XKR. I'd say get an M3 personally, it's a classic. The Mercedes is a nice machine as well.

Of course you could always get a Honda Civic and spend the extra cash painting on flames and stripes, along with making holes in the exhaust for go-faster-noises. With a sweet set-up like that you could go hit the racing scene and teach some young punks how to drive.

1. When I can afford an XKR, I'll pay someone else to buy and drive my car

2. My beloved's father is an Hairdresser and I won't make any ghey innuendo comments cause she or he will whoop my ****

3. The Civic has amazing figures for performance, corners well but with mischief (Had one on 2 wheels a couple of times) and is great fun. Sadly, my research and extensive investigation has identified that it's a fUcking Honda!

Tch, you rub shoulders with all the top nobs and the crust of society and can't even afford a measly £67,000. ColoUr me unimpressed sir.

You know exactly what everyone's thinking when a TT or a Mazda MX-5 goes whooshing past, ***-whooping imminent or not.

I am a fan of Civics tbh, but they've been embraced as a poor man's ferrari in a way, like the Supra was years ago. Nice enough cars though, curves in the right places and enough grunt to back it up.

I no longer ride, as I never signed my suicide pact and I always used the throttle as an on/off switch.

I miss my 1973 MV Agusta 750S America (I bought it when it was 4 years old - yes, I'm that old)

But I left my heart with my Laverda Jota

I'm not a big car fan, but I've always liked the Jaguar.

That or a 64 Aston Martin...

You know that the new GT breaks down every 4 yards, right?

Stats are great, but they are as reliable as a **** sympathiser.

Personally I'd lean towards the Jaguar, but I'm not a fan of the S-Type. That being said get the M3 convertible in white.

Fix Or Repair Daily

That's why we pawn them off on effete Euro pimps and South American drug lords.

How about an H3 instead?

Yeah, nothing says "I have a small *****, and yet I still can't afford a regular sized Hummer" like an H3.

I would go for an Audi.

They make the coolest cars these days.

Actually, I would gof or an Aston Martin, but Audi is without a doubt the next best thing.

I guess some you guys all missed the point about these cars all being under 50k USD...didn't you?

That having been said, the H3 is a P.O.S. that should have been nixed before it hit the design stage.

Audis are good, but they're rather heavy, and not quite as good to toss in the corners.

What about an MG? The TF is quite aggressive looking, without pushing the "boy-racer" aspect too hard. Looks like what I would have hoped for in the new MR2, rather than the ugly box we got.

I recommend the Volkswagen Passat with 4 Motion. It's in your price range, it has an audi engine and engineering, but with a lower price tag so you can get it full loaded; it handles really well with great pickup and the 4 motion will help a lot in rainy weather. It's been know to rain a bit in your parts, eh?

OK. Now I'm pissed off.

The new policy (confirmed today) specifies a maximum C02 emission of 165 Grammes of carbon per whatever Smiley: motz

That rules out the Mercs, Jags, Beemers and Audi.

Research time I s'pose.

Thinking positively, there is still one of my choices inside the carbon limit.

The one that me and DF both like in terms of looks is the Astra Twin Top and the 1.9 Diesel with the top spec (Sat Nav, cruise control, leather interior, sports traction etc.) is well within my pocket and just inside the carbon range.

We'll see...

The Volkswagen Passat can come with a Diesel engine, which has much lower emissions.

Quote:
Volkswagen has revealed the first details of the Passat BlueMotion ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 6 March.

No other vehicle of its size consumes less fuel: the Passat BlueMotion saloon returns 55.4 mpg (5.1 litres per 100 km) and produces just 136 g/km of CO2.

With the new Passat BlueMotion, Volkswagen is forging ahead with the launch of vehicles that are particularly efficient and environmentally friendly.

The first BlueMotion model was the Polo, launched in Germany in the summer of 2006 – an immediate success and its production figures have already been increased threefold due to the high demand throughout Europe.

BlueMotion is now the seal of quality for a model version with the lowest rate of fuel consumption.

When applied to the new Passat BlueMotion this means: an average of 5.1 litres of diesel over 100 kilometres (55.4 mpg). The Passat Estate BlueMotion needs 5.2 litres (54.3 mpg) and produces 137 g/km of CO2 –

The picture on the link is of the stationwagon version, I would get the silver sedan loaded with the sunroof.
