I'd honestly forgotten about this guy.

WASHINGTON -- Senator Tim Johnson issued his first public statement yesterday since suffering a life-threatening brain hemorrhage three months ago, and his office released the first photos of the Democratic senator since he became ill.

"I want to thank the people of South Dakota and all of our dear friends for their support and prayers," Johnson said in a statement released by his office. "This has been an unexpected journey and there is a long road in front of me. I am determined and focused on my recovery, and I look forward to returning to the Senate on behalf of South Dakota."

Yay. Prop him up, boys.

I've been following his website now and then. He was released from the hospital a while ago and has been in private rehabilition and even co-sponsored a few bills in the past few weeks.

I'm not sure what his future holds long term but "Senate majority by Death" seems to be off the Republican table for the time being.

I believe that the polittically correct term at present is "indigenous fire water drinking casino owner" or perhaps "squaw" if the person in question is female.

Thanks. I hate to be behind the times linguistically.

It's so easy to offend coloreds, slopes, kikes and tarts if you get the terminology wrong.
