It seems like a very interesting concept to bring to a gaming console. You can tell it has MMO roots to it and everything from the layout. Personally, I think it has a lot of potential.

It makes me wonder if Sony wants to make everyone into a slave, though. MMOs tend to have a very addicting effect on people that are caught unaware. The fact that this will be a free download means that people that would never ever otherwise be influenced by mmorpg gaming will be getting their first taste.

Looks exactly like a crippled Second Life for people too stupid to figure out how to click on things with a mouse.

Pretty much.

I can't possibly imagine a reason for buying a PS3. This did nothing to help sway me.

I personally could care less about seeing movies at home in HD. If I did care, though, it would be appealing as a cheap BluRay player that also had some nifty games.

Haha, yeah I don't think they thought that one through very well.. I saw one screen where someone was saying to an SCEE rep "I expect to be compensated for keeping quiet" haha

Yeah, I have a PS3, but I also have a 50" SXRD TV so it kinda works like peanutbutter and jelly for a home theatre system.
