I can't say he'd be at the top of my list for candidates, but I'll give him props for stating his stance plainly on some of the hot topics right off the bat.
Good thinking, what we really need is another unqualified 'plain speaker' who has no idea what he's doing to @#%^ the country up some more. Heaven forbid we elect someone who has any sort of qualifications to do the job or who doesn't grossly oversimplify every complex issue so that we feel we can understand everything and then shake our fists and whine about 'the government' just doesn't get it.
Ask someone who knows anything about politics who to vote for, would you? The idea that your vote and mine are roughly approximate sickens me to the point of nearly falling over.
Qualifications? He's got almost 8 years in the Senate, he was a lawyer, and was on the Watergate council. Hell, he's got just as much background as some. Not that I'd vote for him, I disagree with most of his stances. I just liked the fact that he doesn't double-talk and hem and haw around a subject.
And just to sicken you further, a good portion of my family generally asks me who they should vote for as they don't bother in the least bit in keeping track of politics. I wonder who I'll tell them to vote for come next election...
