advice. Don't put all the verterans, all with full-auto $1000 guns against the noobs.... even if it IS 3 vs 8. 3 veterans with full-auto vs. 8 noobs (most with semi) not good.

Also make sure you tuck your shirt in.... otherwise a stream of paintballs from someone who comes up behind you because no one was covering your flank against the bare skin of the small of your back may hurt a bit.
also , knuckles still bleed easily.

maybe this will wake me up to the fact that running up my steps does not constitute for exercise...

When we used to play I broke the 5 foot rule all the time. Last time we played I got tackled, yes tackled, as I was running back with the flag. Then I fell into a hole in the ground and hyper-extended my knee. Game over for me ;;

You should try airsoft. It's less painful, and far less messy. Cheaper too.

I've played twice before with a rental gun and quickly learned you either play with a good marker or you don't play at all. But even a rental gun works damn fine when you peg a guy from behind.

When I use to play several years ago we had a rule: Only one full auto per squad. It was considered the SAW for the squad. But then we saw 'Veterans' who insisted they use a full auto against n00bs and 'weekend warriors' (I.E. sometime players) as weak and pathetic. Kinda like you would consider a high level player ganking n00bs in a starter area in a PvP game. Of course we didn't go all crazy with the 2k guns and such either.

Two groups with full auto = two groups walking across the field spraying each other and not bothering to take cover or 'play' = sad and a waste of money.

I think the most painful paintball hit I've taken was a short range shot that landed right on my spine (yeah, twirp snuck up on me too). It made a HUGE bruise.

Can't say I've ever made it a point to tuck my shirt in, but always wear baggy clothes. Seems to lessen the impact a bit.

I've played paintball once. Been striped like a skunk while in a prone position, but the only shot I took that hurt hit my front pocket where I happened to have three sets of car keys (my friends who had drove there was wearing sweatpants or other clothes without pockets). A friend of mine who had gotten stoned on the way there had no idea what he was doing and managed to shoot a referee in the (unprotected) back of the head - twice!

Did paintball once with the fiancee. Thats another thing you shouldn't do is play with a loved one. I was too busy worrying about her then myself. We also went up against a couple backwater "vets" who took it way too serious. Wasn't fun at all.

I don't enjoy playing *any* game with someone who takes it super seriously. Being a dick when bowling/playing chess/playing a video game sucks all the fun right out of it.

Yes, I know I lost BT when I used dick and suck in the same sentence.

Ahhh, paintball. So many memories.

I've caught a paintball in the facemask, in the mouth guard area- Paintballs don't taste very good.

But the most painful i've received was a paintball to the *top* of my head at near point blank range.
I'm crouched behind some trees, peeking around to see if I could find anyone to hit. A teammate walks up behind me with his gun in one hand, and passes me while I'm crouched. apparently, as his arm swung back as he was passing me, his finger pulled the trigger (from inertia, I guess) enough for the gun to fire, which was pointed at the top of my head at the time.

I got shot from about a foot and a half away in the back of the thigh. I was sniping the other team (we were playing capture the flag style) and one of them was looking for me and stepped on my leg. I squealed, scared him, he shot like three times in a row in the same spot. I was wearing jeans, but I had the hugest gross purple welt, haha.

Fun times!

You can't play paintball in 3" heels.
Not without ruining you heels, and really, it's not worth it.

You should try being less of a @#%^. It bugs me less and makes you less annoying.

Dood! I'm down. I'm sure we can find something in the city. That'll be different for me though; I'm used to playing in the woods or in someone's backyard. Either way, I've got my own gun.

Not even Mario Kart? Smiley: dubious

Edit:
Worst hit I've ever had was when I wasn't wearing a full mask. Took a paintball to the mouth, busted my lip and the paintball broke on my front teeth. Gagging on paint isn't a pleasant experience.

Whenever I go paintballing, it’s an outdoor 20v20 match. I can’t play the 5v5 speedball games. They just go so quick. Capture the flag, Center flag (one flag in the middle and the first team to get it and bring it back to their base wins), and elimination. Those games rock.

For me it’s an all day thing. From 9am to 4pm on a Saturday. The place I go has 4-5 different fields with bunkers, towers, and whatnot. Games last for like 20-30 minutes. Fun times I tell ya...

I play in windbreaker pants and a t-shirt. It's not a good day unless I come home with 10+ bruises on me.
