Without looking up the definition, on your current opinion of Necrophila would stealing a loved ones corpse be classified as Necrophilia. To go a step furthe to have make believe religous sermons trying to restore the said body back to life? Or is it only described with either orgasmic please is obtained?

from what you state, i would not consider that necrophilia. a little wonky yes, but not necrophilia IMHO.

I always thought it was just a attraction towards the dead. Not always sexual, I was wrong though...

I always thought it was a *sexual* attraction to a dead body... so, as long as the religious sermons didn't involve anything sexual, I wouldn't classify that as necrophilia.

..definately creepy and unnatural, however.

I think it would be a natural problem with your mind if you can't let go of someone. Especially on some of the most recent cases I've seen...

I'm guessing zombies, and thats why my boomstick is ready and waiting. Also my side arm with 2 extra clips, my rifle with 50 extra rounds, and my survival gear in case things get really out of hand.

Hrmm... it's funny because the root -phile means "lover", but not inheirently in the sexual way. I don't know where the line is crossed between Necrophile (lover of the dead) and Necrophilia (f***er of the dead).

That would be necromancy.

RPGs didn't invent the term, Li'l Mister.

And, since you knew, why ask the question?

The REAL question is...

Is it necrophilia if the person had ReRaise on?

Yes since you would clearly have the JP fetish for massive XP loss. RR3 however, might be passable.

If the person is the same as before and completely normal(at least for them) then no. If they want to eat you and their brain seems to have become oxygen independent then yes.

There is an independent film about necrophilia which was surprisingly good considering the subject matter.
It is called "Kissed"

Is it necrophilia to ***** a vampire? "Crow"-style reverent? Wraiths in corporal form? Bride of Frankenstein?

I watched a frankenstein movie once. I think it was called flesh for frakenstein or something like that. Dr. Frakenstein had sex with one of the people he'd put together, and stated "To know life, you must **** death in the gall bladder". I promptly created a black hole and commited suicide into it.

Vampire - No. (S)He's not dead, he's undead, and sentient. (S)He can give consent to a sex act.

"Crow"-style Reverent - I don't think this is an issue, as spirits are not usually corporal enough to warrant a good fucking.

Wraiths in corporal form - Hmmm, that's a tough one. Depends on the wraith. If it's one of the "I still think I'm alive and my mind is totally messing with me" wraiths, then it's not necrophilia, just messed up. If it's an "I'm a wraith, come ***** me baby" type of wraith, then that's ok.

Bride of Frankenstein - If you're asking if you could ***** the Bride of Frankenstein, then that would be necrophilia, simply because she's made up of dead body parts. But The Bride of Frankenstein ******** Frankenstein... well that's just sick. Gives new meaning to, "I wouldn't fuck her with another man's dick."

I meant a raised corpse in the same style as that in "The Crow". Not a vampire but still sentient and in good physical condition (as opposed to a zombie). No doubt about his being dead though.

Ah... Well, I'd say no, since he's sentient.

And hell, it's Brandon Lee.... If he rose from the dead and was in "good physical condistion," I'd do him and you could call it whatever you wanted. Smiley: grin
