necro blues/Follow

my level 20 necro in vanguard got the quest for feign death.

you have to go down into a nasty level 20 dungon to talk to some guy. its in an out of the way place you are never going to get a pick up group to go. basically, no helpfull guild, no feign death spell.

fortunatly, EVERYONE needs it and all the powergamer necros are atthe same level and need it to right now. i hung out at the dungon begging my guild, mostly canadians BTW, to no avail. finally, i managed to log on while a powergamer guild was setting up 2 of their necros with the spell. there were 4 other solo necros there too with me so we all tagged along with them.

rofl, they invised and ran past the entry mobs to shake us.

lucky for us, there are a couple see invis mobs down there and they wiped real quick. so, second time down, they fought their way and we went with them. a ways in we get to this nasty hall way with a 3 pull atleast that you can see. again, they invised and ran pastthem to ditch us. again, some undead bonie tagged them and trained the rest and killed EVERYONE. including us.

no biggie. need the spell.

so us solo necros quickly released and ran back to wait for the PG group. again they fought their way down, again we followed them. this time, at the nasty hall, they pulled. the 3 you could see came, along with 2 others. and these are group only mobs. kind of like the ^^^ mobs in EQ2. we sent in our pets and helped. when the first mob dies, we resurect him to fight for us. now you have 6 necro pets, 6 minions, and a full group. in the end, after all the mobs were dead, only 2 necros and the rogue lived.

greatfull we saved their selfish powergamer butts, they rezed us back to the hall and finnished the rest of it with us.

the quest is cool. you talk to this guy. he tells you to go get a "failing pupil" for him. you lead the pupil back and he says "feeding time". about 7 or 8 undead mobs assail on the pupil and whip his butt and kill him, while the master feigns death to demonstrait to you how it works. kind of sucks to be a failing pupil though, mabe a life lesson in that quest, you think?

anyway, THIS TIME the quest was a blast, in a few months from now, feign death will be a guild necro only spell. no way your going to talk a pick up group into dieing a few times to get you a spell. and its such a nasty place, with trains and close quarters, NO ONE is going to want to xp there while you do the quest either.

the first 20 levels of any new game are the best. BTW i /guildquit that guild after i finnished the quest and am currently looking for a more helpfull guild.
