LA had automatic revolving doors, but don't worry, Exodus did fine and I came out unscathed.

For those that didn't hear, we got a free trip to LA for some FFXI thinger. Of the three meals I ate with him, I was shocked that one contained absolutely no cheese.

Pic!

I really like those enormous badges they make you wear. Does nice things for your carefully chosen outfit.

I was afraid that if I had asked to put cheese on the filet mignon, I'd get kicked out of the restaurant. Bad enough I ordered it well done!!

I probably would have been kicked out for saying "ITADAKIMASU!!!" when we started the meal. Smiley: wink2

Exodus, I'm going to start insisting you carry around toothpicks to prop your eyes open. What good are those dark glasses if they don't absorb any of the flash?

Glad you guys had fun! Pikko, you should have called me at 4:30 a.m. and asked if I wanted to go out. I would have gone up there. It would have made me avoid unpacking. Haven't even fully unpacked one box yet.

I think next summit I'll make sure I get some shopping time in and time to meet up with more people. I was able to bring my kids home some shirts from the very glamourous, very high class Airport Newstand!

I have to say, I'm looking forward to Allanois. I haven't really done the all-out tourist thing here yet, and it might be fun.

I have a bad habit of trying not to blink too early in a picture, waiting for the camera person to finally hit the button, give up, then blink just that once which usually screws me over.

You don't have it that bad, I was tired when I went for my school photos a few months ago. We had to take the picture over 15 times. (I'm serious.) No matter what method we tried I just ended up blinking during the picture. We finally got one, and combined with my tired look it looks like i'm high.

In any room that isn't properly lighted almost completely, my eyes blink because of the sudden flash of light.

Trust me, once you've been through the Field Museum a few times, you'll quickly get bored of it. Same goes for the view from the top of the Sears Tower.

Odd. This usually happens to the light-eyed, I've heard.

My eyes have been really sensitive lately. At least once a day, they randomly decide to completely dry up, then get really watery seconds later; all the while burning the crap out of me.

I'll probably have to invest in some eye drops. Smiley: laugh
