Katie vs tubal irrigation...Follow

#1 Mar 03 2007 at 8:05 PM Rating: Good
Pain! Lots of pain. So for those of you who remember my on going saga of not being able to get or stay pregnant, I finally was able to have my surgery. They checked my tubes, they are fine, I had a little bit of endometriosis, but my ovaries are twice the size they should be because of cysts. Fun stuff. I go back in two weeks to find out more. Until then I have a hole in my belly button and one in my lower abdomen area. Hurts to laugh, cough or bend. Fun stuff.

Ok, now you can proceed with the "katie r teh *****", "GFY", "Katie kills babies" and "katie has holes" jokes.

Meh, beyond the pain everyone is babying me, so thats on the upside. I get to be as lazy as I want and get to have it all my way for probably the next week or so. Not too shabby for Katie.

You're religious, right? This is God's way of telling you you're not meant to reproduce.

Well I'll be! There may be hope for you yet.

Still, I'm not convinced. While I don't believe in God, I do believe in Darwin.

We need to wait at least a week so the sutured area can heal. Trust me at this point I don't even want him cuddling up next to me.

Ouch Katie, I remembr the pain after I had my tubes tied and how each afternoon te pain would get worst for me. Seems my body's clock doesn't like me very much as that was when I would have contractions and even now most of my health problems seems worst between 4 pm and 6 pm.

Take things easy and let the babying last as long as you can get away with it.

Thanks nobby, that's my stance on the subject.

A woman can give birth, at the very most, once every 9 months. There is ample warning and preparation (unless you're a massively stupid, overweight hick) and it's usually done in a hospital with painkillers available upon demand.

A guy, on the other hand, can be kicked in the nuts, repeatedly, at any given time, with no warning.

When all is said and done, a woman (usually) has a brand new baby to show for the experience, whereas a guy ends up with little more than a stomachache and the inability to walk or speak. Tell me which is fair!

Well, the woman has a kid to raise. Which means at least 16 years of hell.

So yea.

Also, I don't know any guy who is kicked in the balls that frequently. But I DO know ladies who are pregnant every 11-12 months. Would you like me to kick you in the balls to make it more balanced?

Getting kicked in the nuts isn't a biological imperative.

Getting kicked in the nuts isn't necessary for the propagation of the species.

Men aren't accused of being gay, or selfish, or of being "unnatural men" for choosing NOT to get kicked in the nuts.

Men don't require the occasional medical assistance (up to and including surgery) in order to get kicked in the nuts (if they should happen to feel the desire to be kicked in the nuts.)

30-something men don't get asked, "So, when you planning to get kicked in the nuts?" by friends, family, coworkers, casual acquaintances, and the occasional over-inquisitive stranger.

Men who DO get kicked in the nuts don't have complete strangers in the mall walking up and groping them without so much as a "by your leave" as though the aforementioned nuts are community property.

Men don't have to buy special (and obscenely expensive) clothing when they're kicked in the nuts.

Men who get kicked in the nuts are not subjected to every person they meet making intrusive, inappropriate inquiries about the condition of their nuts.

This is fun. Your turn.

Getting kicked in the nuts isn't necessary for the propagation of the species. Also arguable, why do you think marriage came about?

Men aren't accused of being gay, or selfish, or of being "unnatural men" for choosing NOT to get kicked in the nuts.I'll give you this one.

Men don't require the occasional medical assistance (up to and including surgery) in order to get kicked in the nuts (if they should happen to feel the desire to be kicked in the nuts.)If any man desires to be kicked in the nuts he definately requires medical treatment.

30-something men don't get asked, "So, when you planning to get kicked in the nuts?" by friends, family, coworkers, casual acquaintances, and the occasional over-inquisitive stranger.I'll give you this one.

Men who DO get kicked in the nuts don't have complete strangers in the mall walking up and groping them without so much as a "by your leave" as though the aforementioned nuts are community property.Any man that sees another man get kicked in the nuts is by Man Code to at least say "Hooo that had to hurt!" or "Are you alright man?!"

Men don't have to buy special (and obscenely expensive) clothing when they're kicked in the nuts.Cooperate America screws everyone, don't flatter yourself.

Men who get kicked in the nuts are not subjected to every person they meet making intrusive, inappropriate inquiries about the condition of their nuts. Also arguable

This is very easily argueable. In most cases the woman also gets a majority of the affection from the children, while the father does not. Not to mention that there are many cases where the woman does not raise the children, or raise them after a certain age.

edit: As for the nuts vs pregnancy arguement, I don't get kicked in the nuts that often, but i've ended up twanging myself at least twice-thrice a week due to playing handball for 40 minutes 5/7 days.

Without entering the "pushing a piano through a transom (and then having to love the piano) vs. being kicked in the nuts" argument, I just want to say that I have never been subjected to the kind of abuse Ambrya has, ever.

Ambrya and ElneClare should start a victim's club, if you haven't already.

Yowza, meowwwrr, and whatnot.

I have to say, I've been asked about getting pregnant, but never in a harassing way. I've been in pain, but I have a pretty high tolerance. I don't even get sedated when I go to the dentist, which freaks him out. As far as men that complain about women bemoaning their female troubles, it's about as legit as white men bemoaning racism. It's simply something that just doesn't apply to you, fellas. Not everything does.
