I think I'm gonna have to go with more "tweaking meth head" than "targeted espionage" considering his MO.

Apperently they have not caught him yet. This sucks.

An update:
Apperently they did indeed arrest him, but he did make bail. A trial is still pending, but I don't know how soon it will be. That does make me feel better though that they can find him. I should have more details tomorrow.

What is wierd about it is that the prosecuting attourney that currently has the case file is the "Domestic Violence and Abuse Victims Advocate" She was not in her office when I called, so I have a message on her machine. I don't know whyshe would have the case though unless there was already a prior incident, maybe he beat up his girlfriend and then tried to rob me and they lumped them together, or since it was in an appartment she gets it?

You have to go down to the courthouse and file for one, doesn't cost anything usually, unless you don't show up for court date. You do not need an attorney, however never hurts to have one handy should the need arise.

RACK big K for taking down a scumbag. My only issue is that you didn't stick him a couple of times just to see what it feels like to slide a knife between a guy's ribs for fun. After all, you can say he assaulted you and there'd be nothing he could say or do to refute it.

In the interest of making a cross-thread reference, I will simply state that if you had raped him at knife-point a restraining order would already be in place. Of course, this sort of foresight is difficult in such a stressful situation, but it is something to keep in mind for next time.

How he got in remains somewhat of a mystery. I "always" lock my deadbolt at night. I was in the back room getting ready for work, so I didn't see what happeend, but i distinctly heared a door open and shut that sounded like the front door. It looks to me like he tried the side slideing glass door as well, because the handle on that is now bent and it wasn't before.

As to why I asked, who is it, I have no idea. I wasn't expecting anyone. There are 2 people in the area who have a key, though they aren't in the habit of dropping by that early or unannounced.

I have two theories. Either I didn't get the door closed all the way and the deadbolt didn't engage when i locked it that night, Or he had a master key for the appartment locks. it's a fairly common model, and it did have a master key tumbler in it. It doesn't any more.
