In hindsight I probably should have kept him in the apartment under guard.

Nah. What's that lead to? You call the cops he starts to think it's a good idea to try to leave and you what...stab him? What you should have done is tied him up with a combination of S&M gear and cable ties and then called Zed.

Fixed

More fixed.

He took it alot calmer than I would have had things been reversed actually. I don't know if that means he had been in that suituation before, he really was on some sort of tranqualizer type drug, or maybe he was aware enough that I was really annoyed with him that he was doping his best not to **** me off further. I don't know.

His name was Jake D. for those that want a name t put with the face. Like I said, I'll post his full info after the trial.

Damn Kao, that had to have been very scary once the initial shock wore off. Smart move making him remove his license.

ack!
this is one of my top fears.

I live with my parents still cuz im a 21yr old bum(jk, i goto school :P)
And on my days off from school, i dont wake up early(whats the point?).

But i DO wake up around the time everyone is leaving to goto work/school, i use the bathroom..then go back and crash..and, many many many times..ill dream(its so real) that someone breaks into my house ><

Ive pulled knifes on my mother, father and 2 bros too already. If they are home on my off days..and dont tell me..ill hear them walking around(my room is in the basement)..i come runing with my Game face on and my 7 inch "show" knife(its sharp, so itll do the job..) at 7-9am.

Its good to know your ok.

I actually prefer baseball bats for self defense. More range, unless the assailant is a carnival knife-thrower.

Buy a gun, then you'll be safe.

Glad to see you're ok.

Don't give in to the urge to buy a gun.

If you do buy a gun, don't buy a pistol, unless you have spent some time around guns. You stand as good a chance of injuring the wrong person, as you do the intruder.

Buy a 12 gauge pump action with a full choke and and a couple of boxes of #7 shot. Ignore the sales clerk when he says #00 will work better- you don't want to have to explain to your neighbor why you dusted his miniture poodle.

But really, don't buy a gun.

And congrats, you had a much better day then you could have.

Way to go Kaolian! That took some balls to hold the guy up by knife point! Boyscout training FTW! I mean this in a good way. I can't believe he stayed in your apartment knowing there was someone home. What a crack head.

Well apperently they have not caught him yet. He's essentially abandoned his house and they think he is trying a runner on them. I'm guessing he either has big enough prior offenses that he's worried about a three strikes conviction, or he had something in his house that was bad enough to make him take off. I just wish he was behind bars. Would be a little easier to sleep.

I'd get something bigger than a leatherman, in case he get's all drugged up and wants to get back at the guy who fingered him.
Just saying.

If you havn't concidered a gun yet; then I guess you're not a gun person.
you seem more like a taser or stun gun personSmiley: grin

But any reason why he chose YOUR place? Random or do you think he has some connection to you?

You silly Ameh'cuns.

Now if you'd asked him about the weather, offered him a cup of tea and invited him to watch a Cricket Match on TV, he'd still be there 3 days later when the cops, FBI and CIA had the building surrounded.

I have bigger knives, including the rapier, but they were all in other rooms.

Am considering a gun, but I don't want to be reactionary about my decision.

Edit: as to why he chose my place, I don't know. it's a corner appartment, Since he grabbed my badge, maybe he knew what it was and who I was and what access it wouldf give him. or maybe he just grabbed it for the hell of it.
