I can just about handle one line of drivel. Sometimes a short paragraph.

But you go on patting yourself on the back and declaring victory.

Yeah right. Because you disagree with my methods? Because you can't refute my logic? I answer straight forwardly. What do you do Git? Chime in with a "Monx is a ridiculous asshat" remark? But go on and pretend that reply was an "earned" the old fashioned way post toward your 10k goal.

Couldn't you at least put a lil rhyming effort into it?

Conrad's Nostramo kicked my butt. Let me summarize the first 100 pages, as I recall them from beginning about 10 years ago: a bunch of people start a plantation of some kind in coastal south america. They grow old. They die. The next generation of characters takes over the gig. Nostramo gets mentioned. I fall asleep.

This from a guy who reads dictionaries and supreme court hearings for fun.

The one so-called "classic" that I hated with a passion was Steinbeck's The Pearl. Okay, so men are greedy. What else is new?

You're in league with the second definition from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nostromo

Um, don't say that to anyone who's name ends it "-ski" or they are likely to kick your ***.
