Quick update for Thumb...

Movers jacked her over on delivering her stuff, so she had to go shopping to buy a week's worth of clothes because all of her belongings are now in storage and unavailable to be delivered until Friday. Boy is she pissed! When she finally got ahold of them, they swore she nor MrThumb would answer the phone, so they couldn't deliver her items. I told her to pull her cell phone records and take them to the moving company and have them reimburse her.

She'll be back soon.

Well, it's always nice to have a fresh target for one's free-floating rage issues.

That stinks, I hope it's cleared up soon Thumb!

My suck today: I'm dropping one of my classes due to a variety of reasons. This means that I'll be delaying graduation by a semester (May 2008 instead of this December). While it blows, I decided that one semester wasn't worth a nervous breakdown, haha.

Also: I'm relatively certain that my washing machine is going to die soon and I'm going to be stuck going to the laundromat. meh.

Just a quick check in before my IT department at my new job realizes that I'm on here. Smiley: lol

Like DF said, movers did not deliver our stuff on Monday. It was put in storage and will be delivered today. But the nightmare did not stop there. While trying to confirm the delivery, it looked like they may have lost our stuff entirely. I could only laugh through the tears.

I have started my new job as of this past Wednesday and I love it here. Great company, great people. Everyone is friendly and nice and I have been thrown into everything and it looks like my job description is expanding exponentially. I hope my pay expands exponentially as well. Smiley: laugh

We bought new appliances for the house and will be replacing the kitchen countertops and refinishing the cabinets. We are planning to switch around the ceiling fans and install some new light fixtures. We already replaced all the doorknobs and other little things around the house. The house we bought already had new carpet, new interior paint, new blinds, new flooring so we didn't have to worry about that. I'll post pictures after everything is done.

I love my neighborhood since it's the one I grew up in. I have so many good memories of this area and I hope my children have the same. They like their schools for the most part and have made friends. What cracks me up is I have so much family in this area that Mr. Thumb and I run into someone I either grew up with or am related to at almost every place we have gone to.

But it looks like I missed a couple of things so HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEXA! And congratulations Tare on the new addition. Gorgeous baby!!! DSD, I hope the digestive thing passes quickly for your little one. Flea, what are your colors for the wedding?

Hope you're enjoying your event Pikko!

So I'll update again when I can. Or I'll call DF and I'll ask her to pass along the message.

Hubby and I lucked out and found a brand new matching washer/gas dryer set on Craigslist that the previous owners have to sell. Looks like they bought their set and the house they bought comes with another brand new better set. So they're selling to us. Smiley: yippee
