No, not like that, you pervert. Like this.

Quote:
LONDON - Britain will withdraw around 1,600 troops from Iraq in the “coming months,” aiming to cut its force to around 5,000 by late summer if Iraqi forces can secure the southern part of the country, Prime Minister Tony Blair said Wednesday.
[...]
He told lawmakers that “increasingly our role will be support and training, and our numbers will be able to reduce accordingly.”
[...]
Vice President **** Cheney described the British move as a positive signal.

"I look at it and what I see is an affirmation of the fact that in parts of Iraq ... things are going pretty well, " he said in an interview with ABC News during a trip to Japan.

I'd like to think that this is a sign of things to come for the US, but I'm remaining doubtfully hopeful.

I heard part of Blair's speech on that part this morning. It was interesting to listen to, and amusing how on certain points (we have to win!!!!111!one!) there was was annoyed muttering in the background.

Haven't these "pull outs" been a positive signal for the past five years?

Good thing there's an ocean between them. Cheney has his shotgun loaded for Blair.

Well, it's not over in the sense of a "win" as Canada, in its tradiational role of US lap doggy, hasn't been brought in to clean up afterward. That's the sign you need to be looking for.

It's all part of his desperate panic to create a 'legacy'.

If he goes now (and he's said he'll step down before Autumn) he'll just be remembered for the disastrous war in Iraq, the "Cash for Honours" enquiry, scandals of prisoners being 'lost' and the National Health Service being in debt.

Workers in the Public Sector are burning out rapidly as he's making promises to deliver programmes of work early (E.g. a 2Bn pound 3 Year IT procurement due to conclude in 2009 - he's just announced it must be completed this year! Infrastructure's not yet in place, software not yet built, never mind tested - contractors and Project Managers are in despair)

There is Good News though - While a few thousand real soldiers are coming home soon, we're sending Prince Harry to Iraq to get his Royal **** shot at Smiley: grin

Indeed.

The last Royal to go to war was Harry's uncle, Prince "Shagger" Andrew who flew Helicopter reconnaissance missions in the Falklands War in '82.

Coinkidentally this was just after rumoUrs started circulating that he would fUck a rattlesnake if someone would hold it's head.

Since his ****-Uniform escapade, his falling over in night-clubs and being told off by Daddy for smoking Jamaican Waccy-Baccy he does seem to attract media attention.

Lately he's apparently fought tooth-and-nail with the family to be allowed to serve, and went on record to say "If I wish to command the men who serve under my command, I have to show them I'll go wherever they have to" (I paraphrase)

Makes a difference from some other Heads of State and their families who usually pull privelige to avoid going near bullets.

E kai nga tutae me e mate!

Dammit I'm working with a few Kiwis - let me put you straight on a few things:

It's "Fifth" and "Sixth", not "Fufth" and "Suxth"

We don't "Tist" software before deployment - we 'test' it.

A sheep does not technically count as a condom

You're supposed to 'LOSE' at Cricket and Rugby.

And 59 years too late for the U.S. to pull out of Israel, thereby avoiding the Middle East conflict altogether (well for the most part)
