In an effort to fun up a work-forced trip to Vegas next month, myself and two co-workers have decided to get some show tickets.

Current options on the table:

What show would you suggest?
Spamalot:24 (63.2%)
The Producers:1 (2.6%)
Circ de Soliel:11 (28.9%)
A Magic Show:0 (0.0%)
Other:2 (5.3%)
Total:38

Thank you for your time in this matter.

My sister and her husband recently went to Vegas. They ended up getting free tickets to Cirque de Soleil. There are actually a couple playing in Vegas, they went to 'O' at the Bellagio.

They loved it. They probably wouldn't have gone if it wasn't free. I guess they figured it would be a bunch of french clowns doing gymnastics or something so artsy as to not be all that interesting for them. In the end they said it was one of their highlights of their trip.

Having just seen Cirque du Soleil on Sunday, the show "Corteo" was very nice. I've been to one before, and I was like "woopdeedoo, people on stilts and other things, wheeeee /sarcasm."

This one was just plain fun. The music was great, the idea for this show was very fun, and overall I actually enjoyed going, as compared to last time when it was a bit more... abstract and odd.

My friend went to see Prince while in Vegas. Said it was a good show. I guess if you like Prince, that's an option to check into.

Spam-a-lot, hands down! Cirque does shows that are broadcast occasionally on the CBC so it would be nothing new.

Cirque is one of the few things I would pay that much for tickets to. I absolutely loved it. I went to one in Orlando.

It's the closest city to the Nevada Test Site. Smiley: sly

Hey, did you know that Las Vegas is the fastest growing metropolis in the country right now. It's all feeling kinda Romeish.

Actually I did know that; and the thought that so many individuals don't mind living in the midst of such sin and self-debasement continues to astound me. Can't you do any better than Vegas for a vacation? Or are you one of those urbanites that lack the imagination to do anything truly exciting or memorable?

And for the record Vegas is a kick *** place to go party. I go there every couple of months with my friends. Good restaurants, great clubs a total who gives a fUck attitude. And I live less than an hour from Los Angeles, so that's sayin' something.

I'm looking for opinions on the shows mentioned in the poll. Have any?

What shocks me are the Hannity conservatives...bashing all things not in their moral sphere of influence.

You misunderstand, but that's to be expected. I love all women, some a little more than others. Now I'm probably wrong about this but I never considered sleeping with someone who's single as adultery.

To party? I see you're still a pimple faced student that's still amazed when a woman shows him her breasts. More likely you go there for the gay sex.

Hah. No, I'm 35 years old, doing very well for myself and been there and done that. Rich, powerfull, or whatever doesn't interest me anymore. Life is about living and I intend to have good memories to keep me warm at night when I'm 104 and can't make those type anymore.

And why is it always the bible thumpers that are the biggest hypocrits? Sex outside of marriage is considered a Sin under your religion.

Last I looked it isn't. All I can find is refering to "sexual immorality", but I think that would have to be defined first, and then, who's definition do you use? Even then, I haven't found anything in the New Testament that calls sex before marriage a sin yet. In fact, running a seach on the Bible for "pre-marital sex", "un-wed" sex, and other similar words, and even using just plain "sex" doesn't turn up much. The only one that turns up anything is "sex", and not one refrence in the New Testament mentions it as a sin.

Sexual imorality to me would be defined as anything un-natural. If using that as a base, you could say that any consentual sexual relations that are considered normal are not a sin.
