At the risk of sounding holier-than-thou, it is for me. The thought of leaving would never even cross my mind.

Not even in the way back dusty corner of your mind? I cant believe that, even if you really wished that were true, and you did stay, that it would not be something that popped in anyones head, even if only for a moment.

Unless the person's personality drastically changed as well (which can certainly happen) or was in a coma without much chance of recovery or something, I simply don't think it would occur to me. Of course, we never *know* something like that until we've been through it, so maybe you're right and it would cross my mind...it just seems really unlikely to me that I would even think of it. Who knows though!

Well at least they didn't pull the plug on him.

I think they should have had the wedding on the front lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with Bush as the best man and Cindy Sheehan as the maid of honor.

It would probably cross my mind that things would never be the same, but I think I'd at least try to stick it out. There's more involved than just my side of it, though. I don't know if any permanent pschyological damage would hurt our chances of making it in the long haul. I guess as with anything in marriage, you do your best and wait and see.

Heck no. I upchucked a bit just seeing the pictures.

That'll learn him for blocking grenades with his face.

I didn't read the article, but is there any chance for any sort of reconstructive surgery?
