And I would just like to say fuck you all. I am totally hooked. I plowed through the first season in two days(flu = sick days = boredom.) Then I proceeded to head out and pick up seasons 2 and 2.5 I can't believe I didn't start watching this show sooner. I'm already onto 2.5 and if they kill Boomer I'm going to be pissed. Same with Helo. But Adama can die. And EmoAdama can too. That is all.

This is all your fault by the way Pikko.

I admit it, I got totally sucked into it. Though I don't have Sci-Fi channel anymore, they just changed it to another service. So I'm stuck waiting for the seasons on dvd now. Now I have three shows to buy when they come out on dvd(BSG, Lost, and Prison Break.) Oi.

Baltar reminds me of Godraiden. No matter how big a douchebag he is, he still sees himself as the victim.

/slits wrists

(and there's always torrents to keep up with the show!)

I am amused by how people just ignore Baltar's outlandish behavior in front of them. I mean how many conversations can a guy have with himself in front of people before they think he's not quite right?

Oh and I loved how Admiral Kain got it. *****.

But now when I finish it I have nothing to watch. Hopefully Prison Break season two gets released soon. Otherwise I'll have to start playing FFXI again lol.

Dammit, I thought Dee was dead.

Smiley: lol at Roslin watching Caprica Six make out with her imaginary Baltar.

I'm not sure I understand why Zarek is so afraid of Baltar's trial and why he says it will be a hurricane. Is it because people would rather Baltar just be executed?

I think that he feels that a sizable portion of the fleet doesn't blame Baltar for what happened, and know that he was being played as a puppet while on NC. That leads to the possibility of a civil war in the making. I mean, the majority voted for him in the previous election, so there would be those that would rally under him, sympathizing to him being a victim and scapegoat.

Without him, there would be sectarian violence, but those are usually small clashes in comparison, and easily contained, especially since it would most likely happen b/w the inhabitants of two different ships. But with potentially half the fleet being on Baltar's side, odds are it'll split the inhabitants of just about every ship in half, getting into fights over Baltar.

As viper-like as most see him, he is still a very powerful and convincing figure if he chooses to be. That's what Zarak believes is the threat here.

Y'know, that kinda ties in to what Brill said earlier. I'm wondering if she's going to make the connection that both of them have that similar "spaced out" thing going for them. She did spend a fair amount of time around Baltar when he was her VP, so it's possible (and would make for an interesting plot twist depending on why she thinks it's happening).

I figured that since he'd spent a significant amount of his life as a rebel/revolutionary, he knows how those sorts of people will react. He knows that no matter how solid the case, some people will figure it's "the man" getting down on Baltar and fight against whatever the establishment does to him. He also knows (presumably from first hand experience) the ends and methods those people will use to express their opinions.

He's actually one of the more interesting characters in the series IMO (even as a minor one). You can see his transformation from rebel to establishment leader happening a step at a time. *He* realizes the importance of working together to survive, but has had a difficult time putting down his old methods. I think the time on New Caprica was the turning point for him. It's the first time that the issue of survival was more then academic for him directly. Dunno. I just like the character...

Baltar started out as the brillant yet kinda loony scientist. His responses to his imaginary 6, when he doesnt' try to act as if he is redsponding to something someone 'real' said, just comes across as the type of non-sequesters someone who thinks 100 times faster than everyone else would say. Roslin may ask Six why she is talking to herself but I don't think she will ever grok Baltar's imaginary friend.

#20REDACTED, Posted: Feb 12 2007 at 2:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What a terrible last episode, can they get any more pc? I keep wondering when they're actually going to get back to having star fights. Last season was weak and it seems to be going downhill.

Is Fat Adama still Fat Adama? I'm sorry but if I ever saw a presidential candidate holding conversations with himself I don't think I would be voting for him. But I guess that's what makes him so interesting. The fact he can be an utter nutjob and still convince people to vote for him, support him, etc. All I can say right now is I can't wait until season three comes out on dvd lol.

That would be telling. You don't want any spoilers, remember?

Nah. I think that's the whole point of having her spot Six doing it. Wouldn't have much plot relevance if she didn't. If I were to guess, I'd say it'll go something like this:

She notes Six doing it. She'll also note Baltar doing it (cause he's in a similar cell, right?). She'll have some sort of flashback sequence where she remembers him having similar "spaced out" periods in the past. She'll make some kind of connection. Maybe she'll make the realization during a dramatic moment (like during the trial or something). It'll end up convincing her of some specific course of action. What that is presumably exists only in the writer's minds, but it just seems like a reasonable plot twist to use.

Like I said earlier, there isn't a whole lot of point from a plot perspective to have her notice the behavior in Six if she's not going to go on to notice it in Baltar and realize there's some kind of connection. The fact that this is the same Cylon who seduced Baltar back in the pilot episode will become known and relevant I think. Where it leads is anyone's guess though...

Me thinks you are looking for to much conectivness. Roslin is going to to ask Six in some manner about her wierdness and come to the conclusion that Six really does love Baltar in some fashion. In the end all that means, I think, is that Six will suffer whatever 'punishment' Baltor will recieve.
