Been a bad one for ol' Anna Nicole Smith, but at least now it's over.

This certainly is one way to get out of a paternity test.

Dammit, you beat me to it - I just stumbled across the article on MSN.com

Pierce Marshall must be opening up a bottle of champagne right now...except he's dead too, apparently.

Damn shame. I was really hoping that Playboy was going to do an issue of washed up has-beens that used to be hot, then got all fat and ugly, but then got do-able again. She would likely have made the cover.

Marilyn was 36. However, the news conference live feed is at Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital.

I was watching the live feed for a moment, it was just a fixed camera on some microphones being set-up. Best part was the sound-check guy who came in and, I Shit you not, said:

"Check, check- Check one. Making a living off Anna Nicole, making a living off Anna Nicole".

Huh.

Yeah I saw that, too. Whether he was trying to make a point or not, it came off to me pretty slimy. The media at its finest. What a schmuck.

WTF? Reporting a celebrity death is slimy? That's what the news does. ****, they report regular people getting shot in the face all the time because it's the news. I'm not saying the news doesn't suck, but it's not like this is something new. Sensationalism, tragedy, violence, sex, etc. it's what the people want to see.

Oh, thank goodness. I was worried that the Astronaut might not be able to carry the whole news load for the week and a story about Iraq might sneak in or something.

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Would you feel bad for a ghetto-******* having their mother die of an OD in the streets if it meant they might be given at least some chance at a decent life?

I think she might be better off, especially if she goes to Birkhead, and not that nutball lawyer.

Just to be an asshole thread-downer, I was going to feel bad about Smith but then I decided to spend my day's allotment of empathy on this girl:
CNN wrote:
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (AP) -- The father of a young girl who died of exposure had knocked her unconscious because he was angry she wouldn't go to bed, then took her outside in freezing temperatures and left her there, police said before the man's arraignment Thursday.

Nyia Miangel Page, who was about to turn 2, was found dead Sunday on a wooded knoll about a 10 minute walk from the family's home.

Tiny footprints in the snow suggested she had gotten up and wandered around before she died, police said.
God damn.
