You sure that they are referring to your ability to write? I'm fairly certain that Hemingway was a drunk, too.

Goodwin looked at the seven Americans who have won the Nobel prize for literature and found that four of them--Sinclair Lewis, Eugene O'Neill, William Faulkner and Ernest Hemingway--were definitely alcoholic, while a fifth--John Steinbeck--drank to excess. The two Nobel winners who weren't alcoholics were Pearl Buck and Saul Bellow.

Goodwin also discusses the drinking lives of Edgar Allen Poe, Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Faulkner, O'Neill and Malcolm Lowry. He concludes that alcoholism is an epidemic among 20th-century writers.

Hrmm. I guess I need to hit the bottle a little bit more if I plan to get any better at this. So Flea, where does Joph keep the Wild Turkey? I'm a bit conflicted though, when one contrasts Twiz's and Moe's alcohol induced writing styles.

I'm a decent artist--at least at painting. I know alot of random facts about pop culture--I'm like the classic Gen-Xer in that sense. Oh, and I've been told that I am a good public speaker. I also have written some academic papers and published a few and generally have been given positive feedback for those endeavors. Oh and I don't act that often but the times that I've been called forth to use my skills, people said that I seem "eerily authentic" and often freak people out b/c they don't realize I'm acting. I'm like Meryl Streep, except not so talented.

What am I good at?

- Making people laugh (intentionally or otherwise)
- Drawing/cartooning - if I actually put any effort into it, but unfortunately, I haven't been passionate about it for a long time.
- Good with animals (not sexually like the goatmeister...I'm just mediocre in that dept...I keed, I keed)
- Decent writer (make my living at it)
- musically, I sing, play the guitar and clarinet pretty well - Don't look for me on American Idol anytime soon...
- decent at sports - tennis, swimming, football, baseball
- troubleshooting pc and network problems
- carpentry/DYI stuff
- pc gaming/board games
- Guinness imbibing
- S.H.A.F.T. Smiley: grin
- Ooh forgot - very good at random entertainment trivia (I'm like a Rainman sponge retaining a lot of useless information about movies, tv shows, pop culture)...I should get a job on E! or VH1...hmmmm....

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.
