Well, I submitted to a membrane sweep yesterday (ouch!) and I'm hoping that will be enough to get things going but it doesn't seem to be having any effect. I just really don't want to be induced again. Ugh.

when was your due date again? And you said Mia was a week late, yes? I never heard of a membrane sweep and just looked it up. Ouch :( Fingers crossed you go into labor in the next day. Just think. Soon you'll be changing multitudes of diapers, teaching your little one to nurse while in frustration you deal with engorgement, and trying to figure out what the hell is making your new guy scream.

My due date is today. Mia was a week late, yes. I'm trying to be cheery about everything and remember that I don't have much time left where it will just be Mia and I alone. But I don't want to play with Potatoheads today...I want to have a damn baby!

She gets that there's a baby in my tummy, but not that it's coming out and certainly not that it's going to live with us...forever....
I think she'll do well. She likes to be a helper. I anticipate some jealousy but we'll see how it goes. She's going to be really intrigued at breastfeeding I think because she's been really interested in my boobs lately. She wants to look at them all the time.

I worked on teaching my older son that babies are fed either by bottles or by their moms boobs and hes been really cool about it since I never made a big deal on it. And like Mia, hes an amazing helper. But I wasnt prepared for the two to merge and have him ask if he can help me with the electric pump. :/ I've had to say thank you, but Mom can take care of this on her own, nowgoplaywithyourtoysNOW! And try explaining why boys have nipples like girls but cant feed their babies that way. Oy vey!
