Have you thought about why it's irrelevant yet? If not, get to work. If you haven't been able to figure it out, try to become smarter somehow.

I expect an apology typed out by morning. No less than 500 words, double-spaced.

Not really. Not taking any position right now on the issue itself, but that logic is ridiculous. If you simply invite 5.3 scientists from each country who already believe in the statement at hand and have them draft the report, you'll get those numbers. It's meaningless in that context.

I'm sure that if someone stated that 600 of the leading multinational CEO's all agreed that lower pay for workers was better for everyone, somehow meant that this must be a huge deal and we should all take what they say seriously, you'd be jumping all over the huge gaping flaw...

You assume just because a country signed the accord that every scientist in that country believes. How about 600+, regardless of country, agree that humans effect the climate. Thats a fUcking lot, either way. aSshole.

but we're getting an early spring

Quote:

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. - A new pair of hands pulled him from his stump this year, so it was only fitting that Punxsutawney Phil offered a new prediction.

The groundhog did not see his shadow Friday which, according to German folklore, means folks can expect an early spring instead of six more weeks of winter.

Since 1886, Phil has seen his shadow 96 times, hasn't seen it 14 times, and there are no records for nine years, according to the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club. The last time Phil failed to see his shadow was in 1999.

More than 15,000 revelers danced or milled about in a misty snow waiting for the prediction, as fireworks exploded overhead and the "Pennsylvania Polka" and other music blared in the background.

Longtime handler Bill Deeley retired after more than a dozen years and was replaced Friday by Punxsutawney Groundhog Club Inner Circle members John Griffiths and Ben Hughes.

Each Feb. 2, thousands of people descend on Punxsutawney, a town of approximately 6,100 people about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, to celebrate what had essentially been a German superstition.

The Germans believed that if a hibernating animal cast a shadow on Feb. 2 — the Christian holiday of Candlemas — winter would last another six weeks. If no shadow was seen, legend said spring would come early.

I know they say it's been since '99 that he last didnt see his shadow but it sure as hell seems a lot longer than that. Every Groundhogs day I would wish for a shotgun when I heard his predictions. Not that it's scientifically accurate. It's just more of having your superstitious hopes dashed and stomped on while you deal with freezing cold weather.

I dont know about everyone else, but i'm interested in seeing what credentials Monx has that he thinks he is able to argue against the studies of the top scientific minds in the world.

PS: reading a small selection of articles does not count as it shows nothing for your understanding of the topic as a whole.

Monx has no credibility.

He makes a random claim that he is unable to back up or prove. However he childishly places the onus onto the person he is arguing against to somehow prove him wrong. If they don't do all the foot work to prove him wrong then he must somehow be right! This logical stance is worse than ludicrous. What is worse is that even when someone does prove him wrong he simply jumps onto another random claim using the same illogic demanding that he be proved wrong again in order to back himself up.

When pushed he resorts with personal attacks and flat out dismissal of well sourced material. Not by faulting its science, because he can't do that, but by merely once again attacking the source of the data itself.

The kid is a joke.

Worst analogy in a lifetime of shockingly bad ones. It would have been more effective if you'd literally replaced your choice with "600 of the leading elephant handlers all agreed that cheese wizz builds skyscrapers".
