The pipsqueak is finally old enough and has shown he can do well out in public time and time again, so tonight, the fam leaves for a little trip away. A few months ago we found the trailer to the movie "Night At The Museum" and our older son drooled over seeing it. Hubby took him when it opened and when I took him a couple weeks ago to see another movie he insisted we see it again, on the basis that I hadn't seen it yet and "Mom, it's really funny!" It was a pretty good movie to take a kid and I thought it was well put together.
Seeing as the movie takes place at the Museum of Natural History in NYC, and hubby and I went there B.C. (before children) and loved it, we decided to take a trip down for the weekend and bring the offspring. We're leaving tonight and will chill out until Sunday afternoon.
We booked a suite smack dab in the middle of Time Square, overlooking it. This is our kids first time in the Big Apple and we thought to go all out. I cant wait to show my son the huge 3d ads from our hotel window. The quick trip should be something he will remember for a long time.
We leave tonight, will hit the museum tomorrow, where my son insists on looking for the batteries that makes everything come alive at night and head for one of our favorite touristy restaurants after, Jekyll and Hyde.
Should be fun and break up the monotony that is winter. Wheeeee!
