Biden should resign his Senate seat immediately. That their are not calls for Biden to resign his Senate seat immediately destroys the credibility of the Congressional Black Caucus, Jesse Jackson, the liberal media, Borat Osama, the Democratic Party, and you people. The race card just got that much weaker. And those people just got that much more hypocritical.

On the contrary, I think Biden should conduct the rest of his campaign in blackface as an act of good faith and solidarity towards the African American community.

The race card was already pretty damn weak in my opinion. I don't think he should resign because of a faux pa...if that were the case, hell we'd have no government, as they'd all have to quit.

Yeah, except the only ones saying that never gave us any credibility in the first place so I'm not too broken up by what you think Smiley: laugh

The point is if Rudie Guiliani or Denis Hastart or President Bush had said what Biden had said in exactly the same circumstances the reaction would have been hissyfit uproar and you know it. Case closed.

Well, since the reaction WAS a hissyfit uproar, what's your point?

Oh, yeah. Look who I'm asking.

You mean similar to the reaction if a GOP presidential candidate spoke at a blatantly racicst university like, say, Bob Jones?

Did Obama throw a hissyfit uproar? No. Did Jesse Jackson throw a hissyfit uproar? No. Did the Democratic Party throw a hissyfit uproar? No. Did the liberal media throw a hissyfit uproar? No. Did you people throw a hissyfit uproar? No. That's my point. You would have if President Bush had uttered those very same words. And you'd be calling for impeachment.

Why? Because all of the above are conscious ugly politcally motivated hypocrites. Stuff like this filters into the culture. Just like the OJ trial. Just like the Duke LaCrosse Rape Scandal. It further chips away at any notions of remaining integrity. Obama has been cut off from using Al Sharpton's and Jesse Jackson's concerns because of his limp reaction to an example of genuine bamboozling racism. George Bush and the American public is told "George Bush hates black people." That's gone as credibly believable by another big chunk. What are these Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Borat Osama, Democratic Party, liberal media people going to say the next time when someone says, "he's smart, for a black guy". Who cares. That's the point. Theirs and yours credibility has been neutered and spayed. If only it was Friday, I'd sip on some sizzurp to that. :P

Let me ask you: Does it hurt to be as stupid as you are? Because you obviously have a very poor grasp on the subject matter. I suppose ranting about something you have a very limited knowledge of helps to drive the demons from your head, but it's simply exhausting to read.

I tend to remember a line from Truman Capote: "That's not writing. That's just typing."

That's why FoxNews at one time didn't exist.

That's why FoxNews has more viewers and influence than MSNBC or CNN.

That's why FoxNews will have even more viewers and influence than MSNBC or CNN do now.

But then what about any real examples of racism that might occur? The outcry is diminished, neutered and spayed. The hard dirt road built toward black representation in government is sullied. Maya Angelou is

And they're all gonna sit there and take it because they sold themselves into discredibility. The racial voting blocks weaken, which of course is a good thing, ceteris paribus.

Macaca is definitely not one of the words of 2007. We're more free to use it as a deragotory lable in public in more places than just the Asylum, which I suppose, is a good thing too.

But no more of this George Bush doesn't care about black people. Neither do the usual suspects of Jesse Jackson, Borat Osama, the CBC, et al, and you either.

Ah, yes.. the "You know you'd do this!" defense. A tried and true one, that.

It's funny. I did a forum search for the word "racist" under my name and got about 15 results. Not a one of which was me calling a politican racist and almost all of them were various joking remarks. I also did a search for George Allen threads (you know, "macaca"?) and all I had to say about it was a note that he hadn't apologized to the camera-guy yet. No calls for him to drop out or anything.

But, hey, you know what I'd do.

*shrug*

Ok, so that's not what he said, but it's more entertaining.

Just to let you know, FoxNews isn't the bastion of conservative values and morals you think it is. Murdork has hosted several fundraisers for that dreaded shebitch Hilary Clinton, as well as other Demoncrat hopefulls.

Conservatives do have a news outlet they can trust though, their own brains, same as the rest of the planet.

That's why Foxnews has been in a ratings nosedive for over a year.

Actually there were a lot of calls in parts of VA, and he did apologize, stating that: "He only intended to poke fun at the guy, not insult him". I'll find the article when I get home, and see if there is an online refrence for it.

Oh, I'm sure there were. But they weren't from me. I don't know if anyone here said he should resign over it.

Which was kind of the point. I mean, if we're just saying we should comb news archives, I'm sure I can find some pundits saying that Biden should drop out because of these remarks as well.

Completely different, that guy was a dot on the head Indian, not a black dude.

No one's worried about winning the dot on the head Indian vote.

Seriously. If you still believe that the media isn't incredibly biased to the left, just watch how short the legs on this story end up being. I predict it'll have been dropped completely by next monday.

CAVUTO: How do you think the troops would feel about a President Obama?

BUSH: Oh, I don’t know. He, let’s — he hasn’t gotten elected yet. He hasn’t even gotten the party’s nomination either. He’s an attractive guy. He’s articulate. I’ve been impressed with him when I’ve seen him in person. But he’s got a long way to go to be president.

Mr. Bush said something very similar to Biden's comments (which Biden has apologized for) though Bush did not mention race. I don't see this monopolizing the media and I'll bet that it'll have been dropped completely by next monday. If you still believe that the media isn't incredibly biased to the right, just watch how short the legs on this story end up being.

Oh, I dunno. I think Chief Redcloud probably has more lobbying dollars to go around these days than Rajiv Patel. The Curry Lobby just hasn't gotten it's act together yet.

It's contextual. Sorry if I got distracted mid posting and by the time I hit reply several responses occured in between. All I can say is re-read the page since I don't feel like at the moment connecting all the dots with edits and/or quotes.
