Whatcha doing here? Personally, I don't care who you are if you have something interesting to say but I'm noticing more OOT transplants and other new faces popping into the threads now and again.

So, what are you doing here? You married? Single? Male? Female? Age? Finding anything interesting? Just so bored that it was a toss-up between this and reading the back of the shampoo bottle again? Do you have a political affiliation? We could use another conservative voice or two -- debating with Gbaji is getting rote. Don't like politics and current events? You here for the other general interest threads? God forbid you're the sort to complain that you're being flamed the first time someone calls you a twit.

I'm bored. Post something and amuse me.

Who needs plans, just wing it, then go to Hawaii for the honeymoon. That's what we're doing anyway.

We have the hall, catering, photographer, dress, floral and linens taken care of in one fashion or another. We have to worry about invitations, a DJ and the limo. That's about it for the big stuff.

Besides, I'm bored with "Recent Visitors: 17" and three new threads a day.

Wouldn't have thought there would be too many people willing to run up the flag of Conservatism (large C) at the moment tho.

A few 'conservatives' would be nice tho.

I am looking forward to bush's State of the union tho.

He just seems to become evermore spoondangling by the day. I half expect him halfway thru his speech, to say,

"You know what? I can't do this bollox anymore. Cheney put me up to it and that tart Condi blew me and said it would work out splendidly. Well, it hasn't. And I've had it. I'm off to my ranch and the lot of you can go f'uck yourselves! Adios!"

or something......

I usually lurk, 'cause your discussion is usually pretty interesting.

Married, female, 27. I found some interesting stuff, like Jacob arguing with people. The shampoo bottle got redundant. Smiley: frown I'm usually considered a liberal, but not necessarily in every argument. I try to avoid arguing about politics, though I do enjoy a good gay marriage or abortion debate.

I honestly try not to post here too often, not for fear of being called a twit, just because I don't like to upset the delicate OOT vs Asylum balance. I don't mind getting insulted, and try to respond in kind, but I often find as soon as I hit that "Post Message" button, I think of something wittier that I could've said.

Thanks for noticin' me. Smiley: grin

"New" person replying. :x

I poke my head in here and lurk on a fairly regular basis. Usually when all other forms of entertainment at work have been exhausted (not too much work to around here, unless something goes wrong). Don't really have much to add into the normally witty banter (aside from the fact half the threads are blocked by the crappy filter here :\)- I just lurks.

But since you asked for something entertaining:

Via Consumerist.com:
Walmart and Target Sell Anime ****
Make sure to read the descriptions of the books- they are most entertaining!

Also, glad to see I'm not the only one going through the pain of wedding planning within the bowels of these boards.:3

Wait until you go through the divorce plannings, it's so much more fun. It'll probably cost you about the same too. Smiley: thumbsup

Edit:
Oh snap! I just had an awful idea! We should throw a mini-wedding for Joph and Flea when we all go down. It's overwhelmingly apt considering where they met.

I didn't find planning our wedding to be too awful, but we skimped where ever we could in order to have a nice honeymoon.

Mother was rather depressed by the fact that we wanted to do it outdoors (the park was free) and the lack of flowers, but she was pleasantly surprised by the fact that I allowed her to have a keg at the reception... which was held at her house.

My new Mother-in-law decided to skip the first part of the reception... you know, the part where the bride dances with her father and the groom dances with his mother? So she missed that. She didn't bother coming to the rehearsal, either. I think they were afraid they would have to pay for something.

My dress was under $400, alterations and all, and the tux's weren't awful, though the guys had to pay for that themselves. One of the groomsmen didn't bother to show up, but it didn't rain, so I was happy. We forgot the guest registry at home and almost forgot the marriage certficate as well, but remembered before we got too far down the road.

All in all, I think it was nice, but the honeymoon was excellent. Smiley: grin

Now, you wanted amusment... and you're planning a wedding.

Here's a "do not" pic. (Slightly NWS) It got a chuckle out of me, anyway.

Pffft. Anyone can do that. The real test is if you can jump up and down on those and not spill the glass.

Conservative. I will most likely participate in upcoming threads as elections draw near. Gbaji is my hero, he just doesn't know it :P
Jophiel wrote:

I like both, but don't pay enough attention to carry on a decent, intelligent conversation most of the time, therefore I have been staying out of said threads.

I'm here because i'm either bored or terribly bored. I'm single, male and 25yo. And why here? because sometimes there's a thread that i find interesting and unlike OOT, people usually discuss what i find interesting rather than highjacking the thread everytime.

Politics is one of my favorite subjects but i'm staying very far away from any bush/irak thread because in the last 6 years, everything has been said too many times. Since i live in canada, i don't care much for internal u.s politics so i'll stay out of those conversations too. As for my political affiliation, i'm a socialist. I'm not being offended easily because i tend to take everything as a joke.
